More on the Commie debate

So this guy really wants a debate with me.

He's spouting something to my bro about 300,000 Iraqi's dying as a result of the war (which I think is a bullshit number anyways) and how I should be ashamed to support it.

I've sent back the question as to how many people died under Stalin's Communist regime and how many have and still are in China. Double standard?

Have a bit of that Commie:evil:

One can be opposed to the war in Iraq AND to Stalinian or Chinese communism at the same time.

I see your vision of the world hasn't changed much while I was away.

I might consider a comeback if my absence is so useless

How have you been doing all this time Jim? Anything new?

Ponrauil

jim, face it: you're paranoid

Jim Bon Jovi 03-16-2005 04:29 PM

eh not too much has changed as far as I remember, you've not been away that long.

hows the baby?

You've just got to hear some of the bollocks this guy is coming out with to really grasp the situation. half of what I say about politics is just to get a rise out of people like him.

Like Ponrauil said, one can be anti-communist and anti-war or anti-aggression. At the same time, people can be stupid enough to believe in the basic tenets of communism and still think war is wrong except when it advances the collectivist doctorine. It all comes down to whether or not they hold to a consistent set of principles. I still think you should have him read Hayek's Road To Serfdom.

I think some people should learn more about what communism really means.
