Need help with song title.

Trying to find the name of a song that BJ perfommed. On a VH1 special he was sitting on stage by himself doing a guitar solo. The intro was a couple minutes and then he went into the song (one of his older more popular one's). Thanks for any help.

if by 'he' you mean jon bon jovi then no, he wasn't doing a guiar solo at all. i'm guessing you're meaning jon and richie's performance from the 89 mtv awards, but it's just a hunch. if so then it'd be livin on a prayer prayer/wanted dead or alive.

Can you give a timeframe? I'm trying to remember stuff that's been on VH-1 and I know there was a Rainforest Benefit with Sting & Friends and Jon did it solo. I can't for the life of me remember what he sang though. There was the AmFAR thing that Jon and Richie did where they did Bridge Over Troubled Water before Prayer, but Jon wasn't solo for it. I think VH-1 showed the Tribute to Arnold Swartzenegger where Jon did "It's Only Make Believe."

jon hasn't ever played a live acoustic solo....the poster must be getting mixed up.

EVER? That's a broad statement to make--and it's wrong. He did Going Back at Hammersmith Odeon live, acoustic, and solo. He did some songs on US radio live, acoustic, and solo. The question isn't whether or not Jon has ever played live, acoustic, and solo but has it ever aired on VH-1?

guitar solo, becky m'dear. read the original post.

I read it as solo = alone. I'm picturing a song as an intro to another song. It would help if this person would reply and maybe tell us where they're from so we'd know which version of VH-1 they're talking about.

this is definately talking about a guitar solo!

i would suggest the poster is getting the intro to wanted mixed up with a guitar solo and that he presumed richie was simply a rhythm man.

Maybe he's referring to Here comes the sun on the VH-1 awards.
Man what a solo :D

Sorry about not replying earlier, but I've been gone all day. I wish I could get more specific, but I'm getting most of the info second hand. To answer the question about location I'm in the USA. As for the VH1 thing, they thought it was a Behind the Music type program, (not sure if they ever did one on BJ though, I don't remember seeing one). The description I get on the song is that he starts out with a solo type intro (Intro has a classical type sound) and then the band goes into the song. I know this could probably any number of songs and the explanation is pretty darn vague.
