Four-day school week?
 

Is anyone familar with a district where this has been implemented? Our budget is such that a four-day week is being considered for next school year to cut cost on the transportation and food levels. It would mean an extended school day though. So, I was wondering if anyone has experienced this set-up and how successful it was.

it exist in france but not everywhere ....it's monday tuesday thursday friday... the school day is longer and the vacations are shorter ...kids with their mom at home can "enjoy" this system more than the kids who have to go to another kind kids center when it's not school day ...

as a parent I prefer 5 days and longer vacations ....
