Can anyone be 'Just friends' with ex lovers? I had a errr 'date' last night with one of my ex girlfriends. She was home from university yesterday, so asked me to go out, but turns out she only wanted one thing. I wasnt gonna fall into that trap again, to avoid getting hurt again. Good or bad idea? I wanna just stay friends as shes a cool lass, but I dunno how things are gonn pan out now, after I knocked her back 8) :lol: :?

What kind of relationship does everyone else have with ex partners?

I think it is possible to be friends or at least friendly with an ex, but it usually takes some time. i think you have to step away from each other for awhile, get past the hurt and pain that almost every breakup has, but after that if you were really friends before there isn't a reason you can't be again. i do think it will always be a bit different after, though.

I'd say 90% of the time it ends in tears...

puh... actually i really like both of my ex-girlfriends... but i don't see or hear from 'em actually... i think if the mood is right "sex with the ex" is nothing that should be avoided, but before the show starts everyone should know what it is about

I am not friends with any of my ex boyfriends. I've tried before but it all eventually comes back to the one issue and if they don't get it, they'll disappear again.

I do think It's possible if you really want it, both of you.
But I also think that the times you had wether it be bad r good will always be in the back of your mind when you see hi/her.
Therefor it is possible but I haven't been able to do it and I don't think I ever will.I've tried though

It's possible. But why would you want to? If you've been together, you should've been friends. If you want to be now, don't you think it's too late?

I'm actually in a similar situation...

It's about 8 months since I split from my girlfriend and we didn't meet, talk eversince.
Now in one week is her birthday and I don't know if I should or if I shouldn't call her. What would you say....
I should add that our relationship ended pretty dramatically....

I do not see or hear either of myu ex boyfriends... Our paths just run differently. And there no way I would even think about calling them. When I would bump into them I would talk to them and probably have fun with 'em, but that would be it!
