in2 the storm

supposedly a good local band, they were crap

ponrauil 08-02-2006 05:35 PM

Muse - Monday night in downtown Montreal.

They've always been great live but they're getting even better tour after tour. Simply phenomenal.

Muse = Your safest best on live perfection.

A legend of Blues. Buddy guy
in a blues festival ,near my town in france ,in July
http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/2...tomgrx2.th.jpg

It was an honour to see this great blues player ,;quite old now ,but full of energy and a great great show
I was surprised as he his still dynamic and a powerful voice
2 hours of the best blues ,with some great moments like ,Buddy arriving
and playing right into the public(sorry for my bad english)among the people
sometimes given his guitar to play to the fans
I found a pic to represent what i mean
http://axsis93.free.fr/07BuddyGuy.JPG
that's not me LOL..well the audience go to the old to to the teens
I was surprised how many very young persons were at this show
and I know ,by other message board ,guitarist forums
blues is very much appreciated today
and what a sound..definitly ,one of the best gigs I saw

choclady 08-29-2006 10:40 PM

yesterday: The Family Values Tour in Toronto,
featuring Korn, Deftones, Stonesour, Dir en grey, 10 Years and some more...

it was awesome :D

It's definitely worth it seeing KORN live!!!!! Go see them if you can, even if you're not a huge fan of this kind of music.

Pffffft, no way! I did actually see a bit of them as I was getting some food, the singer said something along the lines of "Well you're not a very good audience are you?"

Ocean Colour Scene at a free gig near where I live. We skipped the support, New2 a U2 tribute band!! OCS were excellent, It was great to hear all their old songs live. The lead singer has still got an amazing voice shame they have released any new decent material.

i dont have a clue he seemed to be on for ages but i wasnt the most reliable person to give an overview of the gig.

he brought that tosser jonathan wilkes out for a while and im opretty sure he'd been on well over an hour before he did that....

Im sure Jonathon Wilkes only got "married" to disguise a relationship with Robbie. I mean for a married man he seems an awful lot of time on tour with Rob.

he's camper than a tent sticking out of elton johns arse. im pretty sure rob is too. if it wasnt for all the female fans he'd lose i bet he'd be out by now.

i'll need to check out a setlist. im pretty sure i was there till the end but my bro reckons i text him when robbie was still on saying i was away for the train :-S

Neurotica80 09-03-2006 05:46 PM

Jim im thinking you coulda seen Elvis up there and you wouldnt remember :P

Can anyone give me a Robbie review who was conscious at the gig????!!! :D

Jim Bon Jovi 09-03-2006 05:54 PM

my review:

orson were a pretty decent support act

basement jakks were fookin class. if you can;t enjoy yourself to a bit of dance music now and again you should be shot.

robbie was as good as i thought he would be. his band were great and he played all the usual suspects. i think his little tet d' tet with jonny wilkes was the swing band stuff but i could be talking guff. i disappeared to the bar when he came out.

i'm pretty sure he was on for at least 2 hours including encore.

Nope, when I saw them, the guy said "you are a really good looking audience" :D LOL.

Tough Talk 09-03-2006 08:34 PM

Well, for what it's worth, I saw three Finnish prog bands (which probably nobody would have heard of here, lol) called Uzva, Viima and Overhead at a minor prog event in a rock club here in Helsinki a week and a half ago. Uzva in particular rocked my socks off; blistering instrumental jams!

choclady 09-04-2006 08:37 PM

Aide-de-Camp at the Horseshoe Tavern last tuesday.
(Cory of the "Trailer Park Boys" is in it).

ShaSha 09-18-2006 10:31 PM

Saw the "Route of All Evil" tour with Motley Crue and Aerosmith last night.

Crue were not as good as when I saw them last summer. Vince was having issues, Tommy seemed annoyed, the crowd wasn't into it, and even all the pyro and naked girls and screens with fire and devils and shit wasn't enough to cover it up.

Aerosmith were awesome as usual though. I was a bit concerned about Steven's voice being ok after his vocal cord surgery but he sounded as good as or better than before.

On the way out I heard someone comment that Aerosmith "made Motley Crue look like a joke" and unfortunately I think they were right.

Can you tell us something about Aerosmiths setlist?

Toys In The Attic
Mama Kin
S.O.S.
Cryin'
Jaded
Baby Please Don't Go
Stop Messin' Around
Seasons Of Wither
Dream On
Last Child
Eat The Rich
Sweet Emotion
Draw The Line

Encore:
Love In An Elevator
Walk This Way

It was a short set obviously, only about 80 minutes, but that's what you get with a stupid co-headlining tour. Even so, they still managed to put in a few songs I've never seen them play before. Joe dedicated Stop Messin' Around to Tom Hamilton.

Mad4Jovi 09-19-2006 11:13 PM

Robbie Wiliams 3 nights at Milton Keynes last week, and the day before I saw Mumm-Ra, Winterville & The 747s (new bands) in London - it was a very musical week :D

Okey, thanks! Still too much old material IMO.
