MAC user ?

I am a macintosh user and I love it ... I never had other brand or system than mac ...but I know we are a very small minority wolrd wide ... how many of you use mac or would like to have a mac someday?

today I received the new mac system called mac TIGER ... wooohooo I am thrilled ..nothing earth shattering I know but it's so easy to use ...MAC rules !

The first computer I used regularly was a Mac at my Aunt's. Then we bought a PC at home and I was using both. Then I stopped using the Mac and they changed the OS and all that and now that they use the new Mac OS at work I'm finding it so over the top. I mean, it's nice for a "guided tour" but for regular use I like a PC much, much better. Mac OS used to be very intuitive but now I'm finding it awful. Perhaps I've become too used to PCs though.

Mac rules... I grew up with many different Macs, from a Macintosh 128k and a Macintosh Plus in the mid 80s to a Apple Performa 5200 in the early 90s (our first computer with colour screen :o), to a G4 cube and later I bought my own eMac...

But just over a year ago I bought a PC notebook and sold my eMac . Right now I only own my Acer notebook... Windows   . It's slightly more convenient with what I'm studying, but whenever I've got the money, I'll surely buy a Mac again. They're just the best.

I've never owned a Mac but I've used them quite a bit.

I don't see the big difference, both Windows And MacOS are similar and the only differences are cosmetical. Both are copying each other and just doing everythin the wrong way around... I mean, would it really matter if Mac's had a two button mouse and OK-buttons on the same side as on Windows?

Mac's are great for graphic designers and video editors, but not so great for web designers or programmers.

Ice you know mac rather well as you know that all the photographs for example use mac the graphic designers too my elder daughter is doing that and her school is provided with just mac ...

but you make me laugh a lil bit with the mouse difference comparison .. this is now very very old (I use a track ball )...mac is not JUST amouse differnce ..it's a state of mind IMO when you are mac user you are somehow belonging to a family: the mac family and something is there ...I think I love the mac spirit ...my neighbour is a jazz saxophoniste married to a super cool woman from san francisco ... she told me when i met her for the first time years ago that she is mac user since day one like everyone in her family and she told me that it is like politics ....I cannot explain but there is this family thing that seduced me ... the computers are like the ppl using them ... : COOL and they work just FINE i never had aproblem never had a virus never had a crash or whatever BUT like ice said very well mac is not very oriented in programs

I think mac decided to make their computer LOOK different and look cool because they are used my different ppl  after that PC (tried to) imitate ....who cares about the look I don't buy mac because of the look I buy mac because mac is different and I asserts this difference ..In japanese we say AMANOJAKKU someone who hates to do like EVERYONE around ...

mac rules ... ppl think it's just about a look ?? eh eh iPod is not just a look it's a different concept ...

ok so there is just Sara and me mac user ... oh la la a very small family here

I know what you mean. My cousin is a graphic designer and he's always lecturing me on how good mac is and how bad PCs compare to Macs. As you say - it's a different concept. But the concept is driving me mad at work :P

now, an iPod... I like that concept :P

I think I understand your point very well Keeper .. really if to have to work with mac and that you don't have the right reason for it might not help you ...but mac is more than computers it's almost a way of life ... as you sometimes can recognize ppl loving rapp or rock while they walk in the street you can recognize mac user ... it's not as shallow and just about the look that POC user wants to make ppl believe .. it's a way of living .. just like iPod 8) like iTunes

ps you cousin is right  say himl HI for me
