Books: What are you reading now?

I finished reading The Shadow of the Wind and it was fantastic, thanks to Keeper who recommended it :D and was just wondering what everyone is reading at the moment. Could you recommend a good book?. A thriller, suspense, anything really.

And, has anyone read Me and Emma perhaps?

I have started reading Pride and Prejudice and omg I am struggling with it, the English is sooo complicated, at least for me :? . So, if you have anything better to suggest, please post it here. :D

Ooh Pride & Prejudice is one of my favourite books! Just keep going and you'll soon get past the language into the story :D

I'm currently reading a biography on Elizabeth I which I'm finding extremely interesting :o

Last week I finished Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides and *loved* it. I adore family sagas anyway, and the "twist" in this one was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Recently I bout The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger which should be great if it's to be judged by the reviews and the synopsis. Can't wait to read it!! :D

I am just finishing up a book called "Stiff - The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers". It's a book about dead bodies and what happens to them in various conditions and what they are used for in the scientific area.

Extremely interesting.

I finished "When God Answers Prayer" by Bob Russell last night.

This is the hundredth time I've heard about this book. Do you think it's a signal? :P Tell me - is it too... graphic?

EDIT: is this the book where they tell about the time a few men opened Lord Byron's coffin to see him? I read that extract and found it so "funny". But I don't know if it belongs here :?

I don't recall them opening a coffin to just see someone. It does go into detail of how it was a form of income for some people to dig up graves and take the bodies to sell to universities or other doctors to perform research on.

It is graphic, but it is also funny. It makes you think a lot and it is nauseating at times, but still well worth it to read :)

Soooooo many things I didn't know what happend to a cadaver :):):)
