Something I Forgot To Mention...

I had my Senior Prom last week and it was fun... We took a huge limo... Ate a nice dinner... And to top it off, after the Prom King and Queen was announced, they had to have their dance... I'm standing there thinking.. "Great, another shitty song.." To my surprise... I hear that familiar drum intro... They played Always.. .And at that time, I was starstruck! Couldn't believe it! I sang the whole thing too while I danced!

Thats pretty cool.

On Friday night I went out with about 20 mates to a kareoke bar. With mmy mate Daniel, we sung/butchered Wanted Dead or Alive, Krytonite, and Great Balls of Fire, lol.

you sir are evil.

the function i was working at on saturday night had a karaoke in it and my God i wanted to strangle people.

It's not a competition but christ if people are going to do it, at least do something they've even got a semblence of passing off as decent. a fat drunk 60 year old guy does not have the same vocal range of gwen stefani and he achieves nothign but embarassing himself squealing his way through one of her songs.

artists who are actually really good singers shouldn't be on karaoke because people just have to endure their tunes being butchered.

but i digress.

glad you enjoyed your prom.

That is what karaoke is for, for great songs to be butchered. Talented singer don't go to karaoke bars, they go onto the Idol/Popstar shows and get bagged by judges. While the rest of us mere mortals thrash out songs with their mates, songs that people would like to forget.

I remember some other time I tried to sing Dancing in the Dark, in front of 4 people, at my old work. Apparently I was one of the worst singers he had heard, well that just inflated my ego.
