Euro at Seven-Month Low After French Vote

Just curious to hear Europeans thoughts about the French voting down the EU constitution.

We (the Dutch) are having a similar referendum next Wednesday and I'm afraid the 'no camp' only got bigger and more confident by the French 'no'; at least we're not the only idiots who voted no.

I'm probably voting yes.

I thought as much. Glad you're voting yes though 8)

I find it very funny that when us Spaniards were about to vote some political parties kept on encouraging the NO since it favoured French too much. Ha!!

To be honest - I think this is one more prove of how bad the state of politics is in France. Either that or they enjoy - as always - going against one and all and do whatever they like just for the sake of it. I'm very disappointed. And I wonder how many people who went for no had actually read the text

And they voted no even after Brussels had lowered their taxes. Bribing them didn't seem to work. I find it unfair because we just voted yes "for free". Maybe we should have spread the rumour that no was going to win in order to get something in return

The process is going on but I can't see many voting yes after this. If the French are not in it (the constitution has been "written" by Giscard d'Estaing!) I don't know who is going to be there. Hmph!

That's fine as long as you don't get Le Pen as his substitute.

Le Pen ? why ? of course he is not the list. Not the same 'rank'
Just two are waited but one is nearly named.

I know he doesn't belong to the same party and he's not going to be chosen immediately. But that man is plain scary, and he's always hovering there.
