Do you think CRUSH and BOUNCE would make a great album
I have been on this board a few times and i have heard alot of negatives about crush and bounce so i thought,
what if you select your favourite songs from crush and bounce Do you think it would make a great album even the best one out of the lot. My favourites 12 songs from the album would be? 1 one wild night 2 Its my life 3 Bounce 4 thank you for loving me 5 Everyday 6 just older 7 undivided 8 captain crash and the beauty queen from mars 9 the distance 10 say it isnt so 11 All about loving you 12 next 100 years I think if that was the new album and no ever heard those songs it would be their best album what you do think? |
If I were to combine my favorite songs from both albums, the Crush/Bounce combination would be my favorite album. But it probably wouldn't be their best, though.

from crush; it's my life, one wild night, next 100 years, two story town, captain crash and the beauty queen from mars - because i like the title more than the song itself :P (maybe just older)
from bounce; undivided, hook me up, bounce ... well maybe the distance and right side of wrong now i realise how difficult it is to choose songs from these two albums (2 or 3 songs in each album are quite good). the demos are so much better. |
I could make a decent compilation out of them with around 12 or so tracks I like, but that wouldn't make it better or even as good as SWW, NJ, KTF or TD in my opinion. Those four albums are great and the music is so much more mature (apart from perhaps SWW) and has a better feel to it. I find a lot of the songs from Crush and Bounce are badly produced and contain too many effects. Some of the songs still mean something to me though, so Bon Jovi haven't lost it, I just think they need to stick to their basic pop/rock sound without over doing the effects. The only songs that really live up to Bon Jovi's potential in my opinion are It's My Life, Just Older, Two Storey Town, One Wild Night, The Distance, and maybe Undivided, Right Side Of Wrong and Next 100 Years.
