I finally got to hear what a real, live English person sounds like!! LOL Kev called me today, and I can't tell you how cool it was. What an awesome accent. I can't get over it!! Thanks Kev. You made my day. :D

Brooke has a totally awesome accent too. I was feeling a bit down today, and she really cheered me up! I was really nervous about phoning her. I dont think Iv ever phoned the USA before, but im so glad I did. I have been promising that I will call her for over a year, but I was always to chicken to do something about it. What a great girl she is. Everyone should have a friend like Brooke :D

Yes they do Becky. I know you had one 'unpleasant' experience with a person whom you met online, but it doesnt mean its gonna be the same with everyone. My clock said that I spoke to Brooke for 8 minutes. That just seemed to fly by. I easily could of carried on chatting, but I dont pay the bill here. :roll:

The worst part of my experience there was that on the phone she and I got along so well. I couldn't believe how bitchy she was in person. I think that's what has made me so cautious.

I still want to meet lots of people from here. It's crazy--I've been on this board for years and not managed to meet anyone who posts here. Mr. Sambo and I tried to meet in Atlanta, but we couldn't find each other in a very crowded, very loud sports bar. Better luck next time, maybe.
