I think he means in Buenos Aeres? An Advertisement?

eh?

Oh and by the way, Pearl Jam sucks. You want to complain about vocals...whooo boy...I don't even know where to start. I don't think Vedder ever had a good voice...but it has been a while and maybe I have just forgotten.

what are you on?

What am I on? Have I committed a sin in questioning the mighty Pearl Jam? Oh, well Fie upon me...Fie Fie upon me.

What I am saying is if we are all being objective here, Vedder's voice is lightyears worse than Jon's. It has never been anything but a rasp and a grunt. It suited a type of music, but has minimal melodic qualities. Now I am not saying I don't really like some of the band's music, but I am saying, let's be objective here--this board and journalists who hail Pearl Jam as a progressive powerful voice in music (which I could dispute for ages) and who then turn to Bon Jovi and call it any derogatory name they can think of. It is ridiculous. Their 'progressive' 'poitical' statements are just as cliché as any of Jon's lyrics. They just focus on a different subject.

Let's be objective. That's all.

;)

not at all - you just seem to harbor a lot of repressed anger that's all - either that or you are on drugs. :P

the question was the best american band - not the band with the best vocal abilities. Out of the list given, I can only wholeheartedly agree with PJ being the no. 1 -- other than the fact that, as my friend would put it, Eddie Boytoy Vedder ditched his hometown girlfriend for a model - they truly have stayed true to their music, art, fans, themselves, etc... More so than any other band listed.

And I am not even a huge PJ fan.

That is my opinion only of course - and obviously that of all the other PJ voters that bothered to actually voice their opinion. And that is all the survey was based on - not vocal abilities, though I take a Vedder over a 'not being able to sing much anymore' Jon any day of the week.
