Gone are the days of filesharing...

aloha,

Im sitting here now, reminicing about the good ol' days of jovitalk, the days when you could come here and find some really great bonjovi material, come here and be the first to hear new songs, demos... gone are those days... I remember the days when you could pretty much find anything you were after on this board! I remember when someone would get their hands on something, and in the blink of an eye they are over hear sharing... good days-- fair enough though, the law is the law, and site owners need to employ moderfarters to control the boards and protect them from anything illegal...

But Now, what do we have - people whining about recieving pm's for requests... I think there are a lot of people being quite selfish.

Yes, I am bitter, and quite jealous - I'd love to hear the snippet of Bells of Freedom, but who can I ask to help? How can I find it?

Aloha !

You're Stay Human, right? You've registered at the File Sharing Forum back in November 2004. The File Sharing Forum me and Alex have, together with Kathleen and Iceman.

And have you shared anything so far? No. So maybe you just should start sharing something yourself before asking for something.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Super,

I am stay human, what do I have to share though? I have only a 56k modem, and I'd gladly share what I had to anyonewho asked? I have a new computer, and don't have the old collection I once did... apart from on Cd's which I haven't had a chance to rip yet... I also do not have the links to this filesharing forum anymore... could you offer some assistance?

thanks mate,

mjp

I don't care about your connection. You registered there with a reason, to download stuff, and if you can download, you can upload. It's as simple as that. Yes it's much slower, but I started that way as well.

If you've got nothing to share you should just buy things at eBay. It's how a lot of collectors started. Or send blanks to some traders. Just search good enough, a lot of traders are willing to burn a few CD's when you send them blank discs and some money for the shipping costs.

Sebastiaan

How do I get to the file sharing forum?

What do you want me to share?

thanks.

mjp

Me neither. It's not like I'm hunting down the net for Bon Jovi anymore.

Share whatever you like, as long as it's not officially released stuff. And if you doubt just send one of the moderators a PM. A full show is fine, even if it's MP3. There are still people that prefer MP3 because they've got a slow connection.

Edit: And I see you deleted your reply. :?

The only time I get annoyed is when people have 1-3 posts, and obviously just signed up in order to get a file. I don't have any sympathy for someone who just signs up to grab something.

Myself didnt regristred to get the song (got it somewhere else) but got curious again after hearing the live version & snippet. I was a member before of this board (esp the time with the older layout) but lost my interest in BJ after (or actually before) Crush.
The sound of HAND & the snippet of LMS make me curious again.
So (although i can imagine the frustrating) you could try seeing it that some of those people got actually into BJ again (or new fans) because of the snippets and/or HAND and the album later.
Maybe some will actually be a frequent and interesting poster on this board because of that (and I dont mean myself as I'm more of a reader than a writer)

It is irrelevant if they have been a fan for years or may join and post more in future. It is like walking up to someone in the street and saying to them "I want to be your friend. Can I borrow some money" It's just rude

I get ur point, but i think asking a file on the internet is not a good comparising to the one you made. However, reading this board, apparently there are a lot of request and can imagine getting tired of that.
I didn't found the full HAND version till today online (and searched quite alot) and i think, if still not found and not being a issue here (or not that big volume of request) i probably would have tried here also, as where-else?, backstage?
Plus I can imagine people desperatly wanting to hear it, reading all those reviews on this board and can't find it so ask for it (where-else? backstage?)
next to sharing in a direct way, the downloadable was very hard to find on the net (ie sharingprograms), probably because people on boards, esp this one, are the first ones to hear it and most of them don't put them in a sharingfolder plus having the program running.
Anyway just my thought or opinion about this.... have a nice day
