Well, he is talking about playing in stadiums. Here is the part about BJ:

The singer also revealed that Coldplay will be heading indoors when they next go out on the road, saying: “I think all of us feel like when we next come to England – when we next come home – we only want to play indoors. Because we don’t feel we can really make the most of that space yet. It’s all getting very geeky and technological, but we’re not Bon Jovi quite yet.”

When asked whether Coldplay would like to become like the New Jersey rockers one day, Martin joked; “I would love to have hair of that volume.”

I don't if he said anything like that before, but this interview is supposed to be new and it's gonna be published in next week's NME.

This is a new interview. Chris Martin has talked about being a Bon Jovi fan before, but this is new. Thanks for posting.

"At the moment, yes, it's great fun," he says enthusiastically. "Although we're hardly Bon Jovi just yet. But, I have to admit, this burgeoning fame thing certainly has its advantages."

so basically, Chris Martin is saying the same thing over and over and over again.... :)

It sounds more like a put down to me. Bands playing indoors are very geeky, like Bon Jovi.
