I hope your wrong Allwyn. Argentina are 2nd in the FIFA World listings, but I think we stand a decent chance today even despite of the recent poor form. the Greece game that we always have something up our sleeves. I just hope that Sven doesnt turn it into a substituting spree. These players need 90 minutes under their belts to show their worth, especially the younger players who are desperately trying to make a good impression.

You certainly got that!!! Best "friendly" iv seen England play in ages, we sholdnt get too carried away with it but a great result.

Yeah always, but it was one of the best friendlies I had seen in a long long time. Fantastic comeback and nice to see both forwards bagging goals. Just shows that you cant afford to leave out Mr Owen. Even on a bad day, he's better than most! :) I wont be getting too carried away, but todays performance had reflections of the England were used to seeing :D

And Australia has just gone down 1-0 to Uraguay in Montevideo. :(

Now to the 2nd leg in Sydney on Wednesday night. Basically, Australia must score at least one goal and not allow Uraguay any 'away' goals....not a bad game, the Aussies had a few decent chances, but just weren't able to convert. Uraguay made a few late charges at goal, but the defense held firm..enough!

An away goal would have ben nice, but the result also could have been worse. C'mon boys!!!

The boys actually looked very confident ysterday too. Thats something we havent seen for a good while. I think that was half the battle to be honest.
