JBJ Australian Interview
Richard Wilkins has just had a catch up with rock superstar Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. We take a first look at their brand new video “Have a Nice Day". The album is out on the 18th of September. Stay tuned for the exclusive interview on Monday morning. Richard Wilkins has said previously that he will show JBJ the Petition that the Aussie fans have made to try and convince the band to tour... apparently the Today show has been bombarded with letters and emails about their non-tour downunder. You can catch this on The Today Show; Monday the 15th of August on Channel 9 starting at 6:00am |
Good lucky for Australia

alllllrighty... well the interview was... interesting. They talked about the band passing a point of ever breaking up despite Jons acting career or future solo releases, and briefly about live 8, and how they continue to satisfy fans new and old with each albums release. Then just a bit about Jon and Richie being family men now.
Then it got interesting for Aussie fans when the interviewer mentioned the petition and put forward the question of why they werent touring the country since we had always been good to the band in the past. Jon tried to charm his way out of the tough questions (like he cared) by saying that he has checked the tour schedule a few times and Australia unfortunately still isnt there. The petition was brought forward, and how thousands had signed. Jon and Richie said they were aware of the petition and support they have in Australia, and there is a chance they may do a couple of 'warm up' shows to kick off the tour. This seems unlikely, and a warm up show isnt a show, however its better then nuthing, but as I said... probaly just a white lie to get out of a difficult question. On a positive note, There are 3 large Australian promotors bidding to get Bon Jovi down here for the summer. |
I think if I was Australian, I'd feel kinda offended that the shows in the country were just considered as "warm ups".

I honestly think the 'fat lady has sung'....even if we could/do get a radio network to help us now, I'd say that the venues/dates are all but stitched up...and I honestly can not see Jon being too far away from Philly Soul once the new AFL season kicks off in the US. S |
I felt he let down alot of fans with the way he presented himself
