Amsterdam and Glasgow

On cable music video channel "The Hits", there is currently a competition to see Bon Jovi live in Amsterdam and meet them after the show. This is the only information you get, but I presume it will be the usual Amsterdam arena show next summer. Scottish newspaper the Sunday Mail also report that Bon Jovi management have inquired to both Hampden Park and Ibrox stadium in Glasgow about a show next June. Personally, I'd rather see them try somewhere else, Glasgow and Edinburgh have so many outdoor venues. Ibrox i thought lacked atmosphere in 2003.

I prefered the gig at Hampden. But unless I win the lottery or something, I won't be able to fly back to Scotland to see the show, so it's kida irrelevant to me.

the hampden gig was great. i think it was more the weather that put a damper on ibrox the last tour because the previous time they did Ibrox was incredible.

anys good really. Hampdens closer to me but Ibrox is a walk to the city centre for a night out after it and murrayfield = day out on the ran dan in edinburgh.

I Can't really remember what the weather was like at Ibrox. I remember it was p!ssin down rain at Hampden tho.

Murrayfield would be cool. But because I'm Aberdonian, I'm gonna say that I'd like them to play Pittodrie. Lots of places to go for drinks afterwards around about there and not far from the city centre. Plus it's near our wonderful radioactive beach lol *sighs* how I miss my city

I don't really get the weather comment. It was really, really cold at Hampden and rained off and on. At Ibrox it was average, no sun and no rain. The weather makes little difference as long as the band is up for it. I seem to be one of the few who feels there was a big difference between the performances. But then again, they were supporting the worst disc ever at Ibrox. And frankly, i think they kinda knew it. So hopefully this time with added faith in the new stuff they play, it will be great again. Bon Jovi at Hampden still stands alongside Bob Dylan at the barrowlands as the 2 best gigs I've seen.

did it rain at hampden? don't remember that.

The comment about irbox was because for some reason i remember looking at the sky about 3 songs in and just thinking we coulda had a nicer day for it so that's kinda stuck in my head.

I agree the performance from hampden was out and out miles better.

JBJs useless trivia: the last gig I done with my band doing our original stuff was the barras 2nd stage :-)

I thought both 2001 and 2003 Glasgow shows were really boring
