I did pick up on this in your post on the other thread in the Tour Forum. What makes you think this? As far as I can tell, the overall tone of HAND isn't that different to any album thats gone before it...?

Its not to incouraging havin them talkin about not wantin to tour as much for this tour, maybe suggestin they dont enjoy they whole tourin think as much, or maybe just because they have worked out they dont have to...uuum its an interestin topic...with talk about a new richie album, maybe another solo project break is ahead...

I was just watching Access All Areas from 1989/1990, and Jon says "I can't wait til the tours over", so its not really anything new.

Its time for a break for solo projects methinks. Then a double disc Best Of released in 2009, then a new album in 2010/11 with a bit of a different direction. Thats my hope

There's been talk about a new Richie album since 1999. There's been talk of a Jon solo album since 1999. Nothing's happened so far.

I don't see any solo ventures anytime in the near future. As much as they want to explore different artistic avenues they can't explore in the band, it seems as though they don't long for those opportunities anymore. Since 1999 they seem happy and fulfilled focusing on the band.
