So, who is going to open the shows?

What do you think? I'd like to have EUROPE as support since they are so gaoddman great live these days, they just kick ass, and their last album is somehow similar to HAND, maybe a bit worse.
But then it'd look like a 80s Nostalgia Tour but I they had Van Halen as an opening though.

I could also imagine Velevet Revolver open a few times. Slash's Snakepit already pened quite a few JOVI concerts but then you never know. VR aren't able to fill a stadium but I am sure that if VR opens with BJ crowds will be just crazy. And again, VR is a band that could teach the guys how a live show has to be so they might learn something.

My secret dream is JET. That would be so freakin awesome, I'd love to see JET opening for Bon Jovi. But I don't think the connections are strong enaugh.

I really hope it won't be a band like KEANE who I can't stand or bands li Toploader and who esle there was.

Im hopin for Rooster or The Glitterati, i think either of them would be really good...

I know Rooster have got a shit reputation, but they are actually a really good band!

Out of the bands you've mentioned, I'd love Rooster or Jet!

Could be The Killers, I seem to remember Jon saying he was a big fan of them?

I hope it's not someone like Franz Ferdinand.

DevilsSon 09-26-2005 01:17 AM

The Killers said a few times that they detest Bon Jovi so I don't think they'll make it but on the other hand, Extreme said about BJ that they are a poor Van Halen copy so...who knows? To be honest, The Killers suck anyway so i wouldn't want to see them.

I don't know Rooster. But I heard some sumours about Buckcherry releasing a new album or someting like this so who knows, Buckcherry would be just great.

And come on, Franz Ferdinand are big enough theirselves at this very moment. I don't think they'd want to open for Bon Jovi

Jet, Europe, Velvet Revolver or Franz Ferdinand...

danfan 09-26-2005 02:14 AM

Europe is still around????

Damn, I had no idea. I liked them when The Final Countdown was released, but I wasn't impressed much by anything they released after that.

I saw Jet open for Oasis a couple months back. My friends weren't impressed by Jet, but I thought they were damn good. Nothing compared to Oasis, but impressive as an opener.

Exterme had bad things to say about Bon Jovi? Figures. Gary Cherone is a tool and Nuno Bettencourt is an arrogant prick. I used to work with his brother years ago. His brother was hell of a guy (in a band named Flesh.) Nuno's a hell of a guitar player, but he's so stuck on himself he could bottle himself up in a tube of elmers.

Aloha !

Me and Thierry, our version of Love For Sale still beats the crap out of the one from Bon Jovi and there's no questioning if we can get the crowd pumped up.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

If you haven't already done so, why don't you post it on here?

I believe you can download it in the media section from drycounty.com

If Europe or VR really were to open for BJ, I'd actually consider going to a show, as Europe are, together with Ugly Kid Joe (who definitley won't be opening ;) ) & BJ my favourite (former) hairmetal band, and I just love VR's Contraband. Other than that, I guess I'm one of the few people here who just think BJ are too pricey - and I like to jump around and mosh at shows, which I don't expect at a BJ show ;)
