Thanks to Linda on Backstage for typing this out.

I think it's kind of funny that guys sit around measuring their waistlines now.

Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora on parties, parenting and PowerBars

Look out, rock fans --- Bon Jovi is back! The band has a new album, Have A Nice Day, and begins a six-month, 75 date tour in November. OK! spoke with guitarist Richie Sambora --- married to Heather Locklear for 10 years --- for a memorable, funny and philosophical chat.

Last time you wrote a song?
Yesterday. I'm very happy with it. I was inspired by reading about what was happening in a newspaper. I don't think you should talk about yourself too much when your write songs. It's conceited.

Last time you danced?
Two weeks ago on stage for a video. How do you dance like a rock star? OK, put a guitar around your neck and make faces like you're having sex. I've perfected it.

Last time you lost something valuable?
A week ago, I lost my Chrome Hearts sunglasses...they were a present from Heather.

Last thing you ate?
A PowerBar for breakfast. People like their rock stars skinny in all the photo shoots and videos. I've got a 31 inch waist.

Last time you got drunk?
Couple of days ago. I didn't have to get up the next morning....no daughter to take to school. The interesting thing about when we were kids is that our parents said, "Go out and play." Now, kids have a social schedule, and I have to live my life around my kid's schedule.

Last time you said, "I love you"?
This morning, to my child. Hey look, the women always love that. My wife wants to hear it all the time. I don't mind throwing it out there. Watching your kids grow up makes you sentimental because it's so fleeting.

Last time you felt your age?
I'm 46, but I feel 25. Men feel better as they get older in my opinion. We get comfortable in our shoes. I tell you guys, 35 is when it starts to get really good. Hey, I was in the biggest rock band in the world at 25, so life is good.

Last time you went on vacation?
A year ago in California for some rest and relaxation. I like to swim and do beachy stuff. My daughter likes to dig holes, and we bury each other.

Last dream you had?
I dreamt I lost my watch. With the tour coming up, maybe I was thinking about time running out. Touring's great. The only bad part is missing your kid's childhood. I wish I could beam myself back home like in "Star Trek". Ask Mick Jagger...he'd tell you the same thing.

Last present you bought for Heather?
A necklace, two weeks ago. I don't buy her dresses. Jewelry, shoes and accessories are what I'm good at.

Last time you spoke to Jon Bon Jovi?
Yesterday. We get closer all the time. We had our Mick and Keith Richards phase, when we were at odds with each other, but even then, we were close. We've been together 22 years. We're like a family, man.

Last album you bought?
"In Your Honor" by Foo Fighters. It's great. I've always dug Dave Grohl, the band's front man. He's an immense talent, and a really nice guy.

Last time you heard Livin' On A Prayer?
This morning on the radio, in the car. It's a daily occurrence. I'm still proud to hear it because it stands the test of time two decades later.

Last time you lost your temper?
I don't lose my temper. My life is pretty happy. My daughter's healthy. I get paid to do what I love and I'm married to Heather....I'm a happy man!

Last party you went to?
My birthday party. We had a barbeque. I had my acoustic guitar and people would yell out a song and I tried to work out how to play it. Years ago, Heather and I used to throw each other elaborate parties on boats with casinos and chefs, all that stuff. But now, it's hot dogs, burgers and beer.

Thanks for posting, Becky. Nice article. I didn't know he openly admitted to "making sex faces" while playing the guitar!

yep. he used to talk about his f%$k faces quite regularly in guitar magazines. he says he cut down on them 'cos the chicks just don't dig it' or something to that extent.

as for his waist size, surely he knows it because of the size of jeans he wears?! maybe it's me being stupid but i know my waist size and i've never measured it.

Was it from the US version of OK or the UK version? Good interview anyway, thank you Becky.
