It's a Miracle!!!!!
 

Anybody else think "Miracle" off the young guns record are the finest lyrics Jon has ever written.

I was listening to it last night and again they absolutely blew my head off. It's struck aswell how poetic the lyrics are and how Jon only seems to explore that side of his songwriting on solo records, with the few odd exceptions.

My favourite lyrics are:

"I've driven deep the thorny crown into the soul of someones son
Still I'll look you in the eyes cause I believe in things I've thought
And I'll die without regret for the wars that I have fought."

Sensational song.

A lot of the lyrics off that album are amazing. Miracle, Blood Money, SANTA FE especially, Justice In The Barrel, Dyin' Aint Much Of A Livin' ... great album

Yesterday evening i watched some videos and watching Miracle I thought wow if it could be so intense again with the new songs !!!

That's my favourite bit too but the song is indeed amazing. As are most of the lyrics on BoG. Fabulous album.

BoG is a great album. The weakest track is the title track itself, and I think it's still quite good (although it has to go from a BJ concert setlist). Santa Fe is a masterpiece.

i really love that album. i was listening to NJ last night. ride cowboy ride is so cool and then its just crashes right into stick to your guns. Jon`s cowboy songs are awesome.

I like the song so much I chose it as my username LOL

I love the entire album. The whole cowboy theme gets a little old but the quality of the music (Jons vocals are superb) and the lyrics make for a great album in my opinion. I think I'll go listen to it :)

That's one of my favorite songs ever. I absolutely love the song. The whole CD is powerful. Billy the Kid... ha! That CD is about Jon.

YES IT IS! That's what makes them so good and so powerful. I've always said it, this is hands down the most personal album Jon has ever made.
