fav gig moments
i got loads but thought we could share a few favs.
took my best mate to his first BJ gig at stoke 2000 crush and they started with prayer then bad name (no suprises) but he turns to me after that and goes "right we can go now" he was blown away. the next week he went and bought every single album. almost got blown up at the end by the fireworks was on the barrier and some girl shoved me out the way when jon came down the front. huddersfield on own tour during lay your hands. halfway through jon goes "everybody outside" and there was loads of people on the bank outside was really cool when you looked around and could see all these people standing there. milton keynes own aswell. at the end of the gig they finished with sat night , wanted then prayer at the end jon laid down on the stage and richie goes "im taking his ass home" |
my favourite was huddersfield on own tour when jon said he was scared and could he come and hide under our beds! Think there were a few takers.

I'll Be There For You in St. Louis, 11-24-00: This is the first time I ever saw this song live and I had just about given up on ever hearing it! And thank God Jon was still singing it at the time. The song means a lot to me and the way they did it prior to '02 moved me very much.
Never Say Goodbye in St. Louis: again, this is the first time I ever saw this song done and I NEVER thought I'd be lucky enough to be at a show when they sang it. The band had done 3 encores already and were leaving when Jon grabbed his acoustic and came back and started the song solo. The band didn't join him for a while. It was PERFECT! Being with my 2 best friends in Atlanta '03. It was a wonderful experience to see the band through Julie's perspective since she had not seen them since 1989. Colleen and I walking to our seats in Atlanta '95.... we got there, turned to the stage and Jon's mike stand was directly between our two seats. Our jaws hit the floor. Being 2nd row in Knoxville, TN, 03-07-93. This was the infamous "orange seat show." Jon acknowledged Ursula and I a few times, Alec picked up rose Urp threw onstage and put it on the speaker. I Believe, Keep the Faith, and Bed of Roses were all perfect! Christmas show in Atlanta 12-12-94. Jon sang "You Belong to Me." I melted. LOL Foxboro, MA, 7-22-03: Rocking in a thunderstorm. Little Rock, AR, 7-10-03: Jon got PISSED at the security guards because people were passing out and they weren't doing anything to help them. He cussed them out like I'd never heard him do onstage before. The audience loved it. My parents were at this show and I thought, "It's over. I'll never be allowed to see them again!" but they actually approved that he stood up for the audience the way he did. Becky |
I was at that Huddersfield show which was brilliant by the way but one of my memories of it was not really Bon Jovi related.
There was this absolutely amazing girl stood right in front of us and stood next to her and her mates was this absolute prick who happened to be about 6ft 6in tall. Anyway she started coming on to him and we were all standing there thinking what a lucky bastard. Not long into the show she's sat on his shoulders getting a great view of the show and taking pictures. At the end he moved in for a kiss and she just ****ed him off and left with her mates, oh how we laughed!! I know it was a bit cruel but he was a tit and got totally played by this girl, I can still remember the crestfallen look on his face!! |
noting will ever beat the Dublin crush tour!!!!!!!! raining down as bad as u cant get!!!!!!! jon says to the crowd its only the angels crying cause they couldnt get tickets to thew show he turns his head to the sky and says its ok angles come down and join and as soon as he says it thunder and lightning hits rite across the sky jon was even shockd himself!!!!!!!! then he sayed that us ppl in Ireland have very powerful friends i swear sumthing that just stays in ur mind for life!!!!!!!!!!!

Hyde Park '03, they'd just about played their way past the curfew, and Jon was trying to decide whether they should play on. We made some noise. Jon: "You guys'll make me one of the Kray brothers yet. **** it, let's play!"
|
brilliant werent it then never say goodbye to end it what a brilliant night that was. amazing we stood at the back of the GC and during crash when all the crowd behind were waving their arms.
tell u what else was great there at the start of lay ur hands when jon said " helping all those unfortunate ones at glastonbury who lost their faith and ran away , dont worry people we can save em all" lol . |
in general, the opening song is always one of my favorite parts.
but my most memorable moments would havew to be IBT4U and never say goodbye(acoustic) in montreal on the crush tour and always to start off the encores in Quebec on OWN. Hearing Runaway was also good in 03. and im also one of those who still enjoys hearing prayer and bad name and shout, the response from the audience is always amazing. other than that i always enjoy the crowd just looking around and seeing how people are having a blast singing and clapping |
Well, the "Hello Helsinki" - thing in Stockholm 2001 that started because of a banner I and a friend held up is kinda cool. :)
