Which B.Dylan's song(s) would you like to hear covered by BJ?

It seems like Jon has become a big Bob Dylan's fan recently... so the question is which of Dylan's songs would you like to hear covered or re-mixed by Bon Jovi or Jon himself?

my favourites would prob'ly be "When I paint my masterpiece" and "Rainy Day Women", not to mention really well known piece like "Gates of Eden"...

what about you, guys? any favourites?

Ivy

Recently?

I think just about every rock star since the 60s has been influenced by Bob Dylan if not a fan as well, JBJ included.

On bootlegs though Bon Jovi have already covered 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' though. I would like to see 'Don't think twice, it's alright' and 'All along the Watchtower' covered

the band or jon on his own have covered a fair few dylan songs live. i'm not a huge dylan fan so i couldn't name them, but they've definately done more than just 'knockin'....'. richie covered 'all along the watchtower' in 1998 in nagoya, although his version was more like hendrix than dylan.

No, any good?

It's awesome, the second or third verse is just guitar playing, but the guitar is playing the vocal line! It really has an epic feeling to it. It's a live version, don't know what record it's on, but I heard it in a record store while browsing through the shelves.

Are we on about the version on the Weld live cd? That one is fantasic. I'm not aware of a studio version recorded by Neil. I think that Blowin' In The Wind was used a lot on the Arc/Weld tour.

well, for me it's only recently since I've never heard JBJ talk about somebody else but Elvis, Tom Petty and Bruce.... he mentions Dylan in his interviews more often and hence my impression. maybe I missed something in his long career as I don't follow him everywhere 24/7;
I also got the impression that he's trying to escape the "hedonistic" portrait of a rock star by pinpointing Dylan in interviews and "The last man standing" as his inspiration for now....

He's always been a Dylan fan. He wrote Blood Money for Dylan (take a look at the sleeve notes). As far as I know he has been a U2 fan since the early 80's, a big Elton John fan (apparently Jon said that in the 70's he made a mock up of Eltons Yellow Brick Road for a school project such was his admiration for Elton) and a big Tom Waits fan as well as Elvis, Petty and Bruce.

Have to be fair, Jon has decent taste in music.
