Problem with Hotmail
Hi,
I need some help .... maybe there is something so evident i can't find it lol ! don't know. Since a long time ago i've lost the options in the tools of Hotmail. I mean i don't have any other bars installed ! really the hotmail thing. It was not a problem .. not really. Just the format of the text was a pain of course  I stopped using the forward button cause all what people got was html ... But i didn't care and thought oh i'll do that later ....... hehe Now i need to activate again the Rich Text Editor ... but it's not anymore in the tools !! My son's got some work to do for school, like changing colour - using bold, italicise etc ... in emails, that's why i need that to be reinstalled. I read something about IE about this prob but i don't use IE .... Only Firefox :( anyway i don't think i would be the problem. I'd need it today ... please :) Any ideas ?? Where can i find it ?? Thanks. |
The rich text thing probably only works on IE, because Hotmail is owned by Micro$oft.

I have my mails from my hotmail account coming in through Outlook, so I never have this problem anyway. |
Ohhhh ok !! of course !!! Micro$oft !!!
Oh well ... I think i have to either let him use hotmail under IE or i'll check if he can practice on Gmail. Not sure there is colour bold etc .. or maybe with my yahoo address .... When i think i told him maybe he won't find the FF short on the desk at school because they probably use IE but i explained him why it sucks lol ..... And now i'll have to tell him to use the one which sucks  I hate Micro$oft !!! i really need to try more with Linux ... still a bit lost :( Thanks. |

Yes i looked but i think it's better for him if he works under IE because that's what he'll have to use at school and hotmail is maybe the one they use at school too ....
Ice, i thought if i created him a session on internet i could changed the security, i don't know how to explain in english .... You know, no sex, no violence etc .... but if i secure his session, it's apparently secures mine aswell .... not what i want. Is the only solution is to share my DSL connection with the other pc we have, then on this other one i can configure a certain level of security ? Hope you understand what i mean :) |

LoL no !!! That's not true ! that's not what i said ! :) No but that's not funny if you don't allow some words or pics imagine i couldn't be able to look at JT anymore  I don't have any special software for that, i thought i could use the windows one. :( not sure if it's worth buying one honestly. I'm not confortable enough yet with Linux so i guess the best is to buy a cable and to share my connection with the pc i made them. Very basic but ok for the kids. Thanks Ice. |
