Yes, I had partners that watched/owned/taped adult films. Whether or not it bothered me depends.

I don't think there is anything perverted about watching adult films, but it can be disrespectful, doesn't have to be though. Some guys are just pigs - there is no difference in watching porn and/or oogling the waitress in front of their girlfriends/wives. Some have a lot more class and know how to make it a 'together' thing rather than a 'me and the pornchick vs. you' type thing.

If I was downstairs scrubbing toilets and mopping floors, while he enjoys himself upstairs, I would be furious. That just wouldn't be right :D

Why can't a couple enjoy adult films together? I know plenty that do.

I think it goes along the lines of why some people are jealous and why some people bring out the jealous side of others.

If your partner wants you to get rid of your 'stuff', it's probably not so much about that 'stuff' as it is about the insecurity someone feels in that partnership. IMO.

Why do guys always assume that it's other guys who watch "adult" films and that women want to stop them somehow? This topic was discussed here quite a long time ago but I can tell you for a fact that it's not only men that enjoy "adult" entertainment. It should be (in my opinion) something that can be enjoyed together.
I tend to prefer the written word - so I have a large bookshelf of "adult" titles to choose from. My husband tends to prefer visuals LOL so he has those. We both can mix and match quite nicely :D
