I have been working hard on generating excitement in wanting the band to play Winnipeg on this tour, at the urging of someone in the local music business. I started a petition -- need to get over 2000 signatures. Apparently, Bon Jovi was rumored to be coming here in the beginning of 2006...

And, I'm so excited because I had e-mailed several radio and television stations about this. Turns out, my cause was brought to the attention of the public by our own Q-94 FM! The female D.J. said my name, explained what I am doing, read a link out where people can check out what I'm doing, and said to call the station if they didn't catch it. SO EXCITED even if nothing comes of this.

At least, I am doing something positive instead of just sitting around and complaning that Winnipeg isn't on the tour list, thus far. I believe if we band together, we can make a difference. If nothing else, I am having tons of fun with this! And, seeing/hearing so much support from the local community warms my heart.

I am trying to get as many signatures from within our city and the surrounding area as possible. The bulk needs to be from here as we're trying to get them to come to Winnipeg but I don't think signatures from other places would hurt. I really appreciate the support! Thanks to anyone who is willing to help! But, please, I just ask that you keep the comments clean if you add any because we want the petition to look presentable.
