Is Las Vegas the worst on TV?

Saw a few segments of it tonight. A self-righteous casino security guard who takes peoples' winnings because...he cares. Oh man. And the security at the hotel who know everything about random people who stop into there hotel for no reason. "I'm going to personally see that you go away for a long time' he says to a man who legally won money by using his savant roommate or something. Why would he care? Because he is a cruel hollow character who works for a casino? No, because "he can't stand to see people take advantage of the less fortunate."

Oh man, I almost vomited right there, but I was laughing so hard from the lead-up.

I think I just 'laughited.'

TV...off.

Ahh.

I've seen Las Vegas a couple of times and think there are far worse shows on TV--anything along the CSI/Law & Order lines; reality shows like Fear Factor... petty much everything on prime time is crap.

BIG BROTHER!!!

If there is a more tasteless, brain-dead show on TV, then please tell me!

That must have been better than American Princess though!!!

Some primetime is good. Lost is definitely one of the best shows to come out of the US in years.

I like Vegas, just because it is an amusing show. It did "jump the shark" last night though with Lara Flynn Boyle "flying" to her death after a gust of wind lifted her off the casino roof. That was just bad.

I've only watched one episode of Las Vegas (the one with Jon) and I thought it was crap.

Shows like CSI are probably worse though. It's too procedural, it's too similar each and every week and it's nowhere near ambitious enough, yet somehow it's the biggest show in America...............????????? There was a far, far better show called Millennium (only the first season though) that aired in the mid-ninties which CSI has completely ripped off and watered down to a pathetic degree. Take all the intelligence out of a show, strip away everything that makes it interesting and then do a rehash of it where you spoon feed the audience the same stuff every week and make them think they're smart for figuring out "who done it". Rubbish.
Millennium explored the most interesting things, why serial killers do what they do, what needs to be done to catch them, the effects it has on the lives of the people whos job it is to catch them and how that job effects their personal lives. Not to mention commenting on massive increase of violence that was and continues to take place in the world at the moment.

Tash is right, "Lost" is absolutely quality. Looking forward to Season 2. 24 is great too.

But given how thin she is - quite plausible... :-)

I was thinking the same Tash. Maybe it was a play on her weight issue. But she was wearing this cape thing, and a gust of wind just took her right off the building and threw her through a window. It was just so bizarre!!
