roll your tapes

all those planning on going to the philly shows roll your tapes..
I talked to 2 band members yesterday (no i don't have thier cell numbers we were in the same place for a few minutes) and they are toying with a few things in rehearsal/soundcheck that haven't been played on this tour. They might break out something new for Philly :)
The band feels the "left acoustic" versions have gone over well. When I told them that the cyberfandom wasn't in agreement, they said that diehard travelling from show to show fans make up less than 1% of any audience and that overall the show is built for the slightly more casual masses, who seem to like it. Tom Petty was Richie's idea and apparently Jon's last cover choice was Eve of Destruction, he prefers Jovi songs.

Well...assuming this is in fact legit, then these guys have now entered the denial stage of TLFR by thinking the casual fans enjoy that stuff. I'll be at the saturday night show and would welcome something new.

I think a lot of people like it. I was at Circuit City yesterday when I saw a lady browsing the Jovi section. She was holding TLFR and was telling her husband how great some of those songs were.

I hope your not supporting your statement with the fact that you saw one person buy the cd.

Absolutely not... It was just funny because I saw someone buy it yesterday. Anyways, there are many people here for instance that somewhat enjoy the album, I'm not one of them. At first I thought that the CD was pretty good and quite creative... Now I see at as a cockblock because we could've gotten the Live Acousitc Concert that was recorded in Yokohama.
