Fanclub + Tickets question

Hi!

Here's my question, hope you can help me:
Today I sent my new membership application to Backstage and soon you can pre-buy tickets from american express for their tour 2003(europe). If I'm no member yet, can I still pre-buy tickets for their tour (is american express just for members?)? (the membership processing takes 4-6 weeks!-I'm afraid that the tickets will be sold out then!)
If I buy "normal" tickets, am I allowed (with my membership card) to be in the fanclub area or are there special tickets for fans?
Thanks!

as long as you've an americanXS pin number that's registered on the website, you will get an email saying you can book tickets prior to general sales.

as for the fan club, u have to be a member with a valid card come the time when the fanclub tickets go on sale, ie. before yours is likely to come thru (mine took 2.5 months!)

hope this helps!

So you mean there are special fan club tickets..? If I buy now a "normal" ticket, can I still stand in the fan club area (with a valid fan club card)? I just need to show the fan club card and a ticket and can be in the fan area, right?

well that's what i thought it was too, but then over at bonjovi.com there's instructions for Japanese fans about how they can order special tickets as long as they can quote their fan club number...maybe it's just different in Japan? i'm sure if you ask the oompas they'll give you a definite answer. Certainly if you get a GA standing, you should be able to get in with a fan club card, but, like i say, better ask the oompas!

It's different in Japan and USA because they have reserved seats at the concert. Here you have generell admission.

According to "Backstage" if you are a member and you've got a General Admission ticket as opposed to a Gold one, you will be issued with a wristband which MAY gain you entry to the Gold section IF THERE IS ROOM!!
The best we could get for Manchester were seats in the South Stand but both myself and my sister have memberships pending. Could we even get wristbands?
I suppose only time (and BSWJBJ) will tell..... :?

There should be wristbands available. On the news section of Backstage they say although you can get tickets before they go on general sale through American XS.... they will still have the fanclub perks i.e..wristbands and seats available.
I certainly hope so!!!
