Bon Jovi isn't nominated for an award. Not a big suprise, just thought I'd let everyone who had their hopes to forget it. They'll never win one. LOL

they were not nominated because their album was out too late...if you look at the other nominees their cd's were out last year or early this year...enough time for 3 of their singles to be out and recognized

Untrue... American Idiot came out at the same time in 2004 and it was nominated also. Only 2 singles had been released at that time. I believe Kanye West's latest album came out a few weeks ahead of Have A Nice Day. It's being nominated for numerous awards. Though I'm sure they'll be better off being nominated in 2007 when the singles have been released and album has been in rotation for awhile.

Agree with Paulie i think the album came out too late to expect anything. A Bon Jovi album is not a big big event anymore :s

Shakira could win something even if the album was out only a couple of months before. Or Madonna ... not Bon Jovi.

I think it shows how stupid the whole Grammys/ award shows are! HAND is better than Crush & Bounce put together, an yet they received nominations.
U2 get nominations whatever they release. Their last 2 or 3 albums have been the usual bogstandard, run of the mill U2 albums and yet they they are 'cool' so it dosen't matter.
Bon Jovi have never been perceived as 'cool' so they very rarely get nominated for these things!
Also it shouldn't be about 'numbers' sold, it should be about the quality.

And U2, well... if they just sneeze they got nominated - not to say they don't have good songs here and there- but this year I'm SO fed up of bumping in to them wherever I look....

It's really not fair! But anyway, the critics have never been fair to Bon Jovi. As for U2, well they're always nominated because they're U2! Even if they released the worst album of the year, the industry would still honor them because of who they are! Now, I really love many of their songs in the 80s and 90s, but since then, they haven't done anything outstanding in my opinion. But their sales are huge because it says U2 on the cds!

I guess it's easy for Jon to say that he prefer not to be nominated....just as long as they aren't
