Albany, NY set list

Before you read this, please know that I am a Bon Jovi fan, and have attended many concerts. In fact, when pre-sale tix went on sale for the Albany show, I got some right away. Having said this, please read this with that in mind.

What a great show in Albany! Here's the setlist: LAST MAN STANDING,
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, COMPLICATED, BORN TO BE MY BABY, STORY OF MY LIFE, I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD,...oh wait, that was the beginning of the list from Boston (both shows), and wait, from Uniondale, NY, etc. My point is, why are they mixing things up a bit? I mean, sure, they don't do every show 100% the same, but pretty close.

I remember watching one of Bon Jovi's DVD's, and they said something to the effect of: "we're always mixing the setlist up so it's not the same thing all the time....sometimes Jon will even change the setlist after it's been wrote up....we're never going to fall into the safety net of doing the same show, night after night."

Well, look over the setlists from the Have a Nice Day tour so far.....especially where they played two nights in a row at the same city...almost the same set list! The first 6 or 7 songs are pretty much in the identical order, night after night. Sure, you want to include the hits, that's obvious. But instead of doing I'll Sleep When I'm Dead every night, how about alternating with I Believe or Dry County or In These Arms Tonight? Or, throwing in some tunes from These Days (great album, indeed!).

I know I've upset some people with this post, and I'm sorry if I did. My point is, I wish they'd just mix it up a bit more, like in prior years. No matter what concert you attend, the band (any band, whether it's Metallica, Alan Jackson, or U2) is always going to leave out someone's favorite, that's a given. But, at least by mixing things up a bit, it'd keep it fresh.

Welcome to the board, but you're preaching to the choir. We all know this and agree with this. They don't mix the shows up well enough at all anymore.

However, though the beginning of the shows has remained the same, they have been playing different shongs at the shows.

For example, in addition to the obvious hits, I've heard quite a few album tracks at the 3 shows I've attended. The average show is about 25 songs, and here's what they've played so far (that I know of.)

Runaway
Bad Name
Prayer
Wanted
Raise Your Hands
Lay Your Hands On Me
Bad Medicine
Born To Be My Baby
I'll Be There For You
Love For Sale
Blaze Of Glory
Keep The Faith
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
Bed Of Roses
Always
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
It's My Life
Just Older
Captain Crash
I Got The Girl
Undivided
Everyday
Bounce
Have A Nice Day
I Want To Be Loved
Welcome To Wherever You Are
Who Says...?
Bells Of Freedom
Last Man Standing
Last Cigarette
Complicated
Novocaine
Story Of My Life
Radio Saved My Life Tonight
I Get A Rush
Treat Her Right
Shout
I Won't Back Down
Run Rudolph Run

That's 39 - Considering they have so many hits they have to play, it's really not bad.

Are you REALLY complaining? This is hardly anything like the past few tours.

I agree. Granted, it would be nice to change the order around, but at least there are different songs night to night.

Would it be nice if they switched up the order? You bet! But how many of the people complaining are actually going to a handful of shows, right?

True. I'd bet the majority are not. It's just us, who do go to multiple shows and do check out the setlists that notice.

Have they been taking requests from the crowd so far on the tour?
