Ahhhhh, the Dallas show. My hometown. I SO can not wait for this one either. I've been to every Dallas show since 1988, and this one will be as good as the first I'm sure. Back to back - OKC and Dallas, can't ask for anything better! Ryan, this is gonna rock!

Anyone keeping us all updated tonight?
|
From what I've heard, based on a play by play thread on backstage. The set list was similar to the OKC set list. The changes are:
Everyday and Shout (only part of it done in Bad Medicine) in the regular set and Blood on Blood and Someday I'll Be Saturday Night in the encore. deb |
Howdy from Dallas... My second show was a blast and 3 times better than OKC! First of all, here was the setlist!
Last Man Standing (Jon at the back of house) You Give Love A Bad Name Complicated Born To Be My Baby Story Of My Life I'll Sleep When I'm Dead Radio Saved My Life Tonight Runaway Everyday Who Says You Can't Go Home Won't Back Down Have A Nice Day It's My Life I'll Be There For You Blaze Of Glory (Jon from the crowd) Bed of Roses Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars Bad Medicine Raise Your Hands Livin' On A Prayer Encore 1 Welcome To Wherever You Are Blood On Blood Someday I'll Be Saturday Night Treat Her Right Encore 1 Wanted Dead or Alive Ok, so now for the goodies. I don't remember the name of the opening band but they rocked! I really loved them. Bon Jovi came on around 8:30 and my seats were just fantastic. I was really excited through most of the first part of the concert until they played Everyday. I WENT NUTS!! This song is so awesome live and was a highlight. Everything was pretty basic throughout the set. Jon was twice as good as he was last night. He sang his heart out tonight and he was just amazing. His involvement with the crowd was so much better than last night too. It was exciting. The highlight tonight was the encore. I thought it was going to be basic when they started with Welcome. BUT, they went on into the intro to Blood On Blood and I cried. LOL.... I'm a pussy, shut up. After that I expected Treat Her Right but instead they played a FANTASTIC version of Someday I'll Be Saturday Night.. Again, I cried...... LOL.. Jon gave it his all and I respect all his emotion. The final minutes came with Wanted and it just seemed fitting that I was leaving after this song. A great way to end my weekend. Now for the highlights.... New Orleans Babes - There was a portion of the song where Jon mention two women up towards the front that had a poster of saying something like... "We were in the hurricane and drove all this way to see Bon Jovi". I had dinner with these two nice women earlier in the evening with Amy and a bunch of people. Anyways, Jon mentioned them and sorta gave them a dedication like.. "Let's sing this for the hurricane girls up here!" It was fantastic. Everyday - This one went over fantastic! I sang my ass off through the whole song. Was definently my favorite thus far. Bad Medicine - Hugh must have hit a wrong note if I'm correct. Jon stopped the band and they sat around and chated between eachother and crowd and it lasted like 2 minutes. It was really really fun and a good change to the typical song. There was almost Shout too... Just did the opening measure's of the song though! Blood On Blood - This song was just amazing to hear. I was wanting this one but didn't think I was going to get it, that's why I cried. Ace all the way. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night - What a surprise... They haven't played it this much on tour and to hear it live and electric was very satisfying. Jon gave a 110% during this song. It was touching, emotion, moving.. Whatever you want to call it. I'm impressed... Whatever slack Jon was taking about his voice completely flipped with this one. Meeting Amy and Co.. - I really enjoyed meeting these people. In OKC it's hard to meet Jovi fans and I appreciate everything they've done for me. Amy, thank you so much for a fantastic weekend. You are a wonderful person and I hope to get together with you soon! Anyways... I'm pretty tired. If you have any question's I'll be on here for awhile. It'll take somemore questions to remember some of the things I may have missed! Thanks Bon Jovi for the best weekend of my life! Ryan |

Primo Review! Glad you had an awesome time. Nice set list changes. One of the things I noticed about the Dallas gig is there was twice as many $49.50 tickets available as Oklahoma City. At OKC, the only cheap seats ($46.50) were the 3rd (300) level nose bleed, but for Dallas both 2nd (200) & 3rd (300) level were the cheap seats. At OKC all the 200 level tickets were $86.50. Clearly some promoter price gouging going on for Bon Jovi OKC, but the place was 99.9% full with 18,100 going crazy fans. |
