Jon about TD

Found a few interviews i kept back then where Jon & Richie are telling that TD is actually one of their favourites albums but they are a bit dissapointed that they couldn't play it live anymore (at that time) as it wasnt a succes around their fans.
Is this them again making up a bullshit story again or do they really think so (would be morrons then i guess)?

Good question... Don't they say that every album is their favorite?

If they really wanted to play TD, they would play TD. They don't seem too worried about the fact that TLFR wasn't a success - but they are playing it live...

TheseDays2005 12-26-2005 01:17 AM

yeah they are lying about that for the past albums, but it's more the reason why they stop playing the damn songs. Because the fans don't like the album!?!

These Days wasn't a sucess in United States but was HUGE in Asia, Europe and South America. In Brazil These Days was the greatest Bon Jovi album, more than Slippery and New Jersey, it's amazing...

I think they do say that each album is their favorite at the time... don't they always say each album is like t heir baby?

I remember when These Days came out ... I think it was in June... I remember I bought it the first day it came out on casette!

It wasn't a huge hit in the US but I remember that TAALS was played all the time on radio and believe it or not MTV still played their videos at the time... even SFTP and Lie to Me were played frequently

This was the grunge period and Bon Jovi was one of the few bands from the 80's to still be played at all on the radio or tv

I think TD got pretty good reviews at the time... not great but not bad

I remember going to see them live and I actually saw them at the New York State Fair... and I laugh now b/c Jon always says how he won't ever bring the band down to the level of state fairs... well back in 95 that is where I saw them... It was a hell of a show.. but I have the newspaper review still and they only drew about 10,000 people...

Comparing that to previous tours at the height of their popularity you could say that in the US These Days was not their most commercially successful album or tour

BUT I do think that they could play a few tracks every now and then even in the states... I saw them do DAMNED on the Bounce tour in Toronto.. it was totally unexpected .. Jon introd with If loving u is wrong I don't wanna be right and then they kicked it into Damned and it went over very well with the crowd

While TD was not huge in the states it was bigger than TLFR and if they think fans would prefer that over TD stuff guess again boys

I would love to hear them do These Days again... I heard some boots of it from the Bounce tour and admittedly it sounded pretty bad but now that Jon's voice is a million times better they should try it again

I bet Europe will hear something off of these days..

You're totally right! according to billboard TAALS was #15 best single seller in 95, it's a pretty good number.

Ooo,believe me,I think most of the fans like the These Days album. So, the fans are not the problem. Can someone please tell them(to Bon Jovi)that they should play this great album. You know,I've never heard TAALS,SFTP,MGLBIMA,DR played live.Bit we all know that Jon's vocals are not so good to shout to the TAALS for example. So according to me,I think that THIS is the problem.

I think it also has something to do with high keys and the fact that the majority of TD songs (especially 2nd half) slows the concert down.

Why are you all so mean on this site to jon'n'co? i think you are really harsh some of you. should be ashames of your selfs you ain't real bj fans. All you do is give the band a whole set of BLOW'S! all the time!
