Change of heart on a live song

I was wondering if anyone who has seen Bon Jovi on THIS TOUR has had a change of heart about a song that they finally heard live. I ask because I have different thoughts now about "Welcome To Wherever You Are." I thought it was a good song but not one of the best on the CD. Hearing it live was incredible. I was afraid to hear it live because he never sings the higher-note songs but he sang it just as it sounds on the album and it was incredible, unlike hearing songs like "In These Arms" or "The Radio...", though that song has been sounding better as of late. So has anyone heard a song finally on this tour that changed their mind?

I'll let you know two weeks from tomorrow after the Atlanta show!

On other tours though, yes, I've had a change of heart on songs. I never liked Captain Crash, but after hearing it live I really started to enjoy it!

That has happened to me with a lot of songs, but it didn't this tour. I think Complicated is the worst song on HAND and I heard it live and still think it's the worst song on HAND. It's okay live, but the crappy lyrics are just too teeny-bopper for me.

Yup...I can honestly say I hated One Last Cigrarette . After seeing it live more than once I learned to love it .

I really dislike Welcome - I don't like the words or the music. I have only heard it once live (out of 4 concerts) but it sounded better live to me than it does on the album. The harmony really came over well live. Unfortunately the words don't improve.

Personally I think the lyrics in WTWYA are brilliant. What do you not like about them?

I'm going to quote Martin here from another thread when the album came out. He put it so perfectly that it stuck in my mind.

This song hit me exactly the same way and I wonder if it has something to do with Jon having a 13 year old in the house.

Both One Last Cigarette and I wanna be loved, have changed for me since I saw them live. I thought they were both ok songs but not favorites of mine on the record, but live they were both excellent, although IWBL has gone up more for me than Cigarette.

Well ...I know you might hate it guys...BUT I just love the song, I guess for me its a get through song, after goin through so much in my life then losing weight a car accident ETC it was a really a hard hitting song for me , for me I dont get that same feeling some of you do , I get a totally diffrent feeling on it .
Another song I saw live I really liked after hearing live was
Last Man Standing...
After hearing it over and over ..really kowing who and what it was about and written for , it really took shape for me

My show is Feb 17th in Tampa but I feel as though I have to stick up for Welcome here.

Granted, the song is cliche-ridden but in my opinion nobody does cliches better than the boys in Bon Jovi.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy and have gone through a lot in my life especially in 2005. The song just seemed to come along at exactly the right time for me and compared to the ballads on Bounce it's great.

Sadly, it seems to be a vastly underrated song as almost anything wth high notes in the chorus is a favorite of mine (see I Am) It's getting lots of votes in Last Song Standing and it probably won't last much longer. Hopefully they perform it at my show. I've heard it live on a bootleg (thanks Kathleen) and Jon seemed to nail it.
