Bon Jovi - Religion and Prostitution?
How's that for a catchy thread title :)
Actually I have been going through the old Jovi collection ripping 30 second samples of all the songs for a discography page (568 different songs so far with about 20-25 yet to track down) and I noticed for the first time how many songs have references to religion or prostitiution in them. IE: hey god, welcome to whereever you are and prostitute, runaway I thought maybe we could see how many of each type reference we can all find in Jovi songs. It's gotta be better than bickering like Stagers :) P |
I'll do it after i've watched this paint dry :p
|
Well I need something to distract me, but I think I'll pass. There are loads. There's religion in loads of Bon Jovi songs. Right Side of Wrong, Dry County, Keep The Faith, etc.

Not sure if you´re meaning this, but in Blood On Blood, they paid 10 bucks each to some white trash girl who turned them into men. So I guess it´s another reference about prostitutes.

Ding!!!!
exactly Stut, thats a little less blatant than the religious references that Rob mentioned and there are really a good number of both kinds, it seems like the prostitution stuff is a little lower key. P |
Only in Joviland girls are THAT cheap that 10 bucks each is enough :p
Religion: Livin' On A Prayer (Duh), I Believe (DUH), Little Bit Of Soul, Save A Prayer, Something To Believe In |

If they sing Livin On A Preyer it doesnt mean that Gine ispraying all day on here knees...If Jon sings I Belive it doesnt mean that he believes in God...
Dont be narrow minded! |
