Jon to sell his autobiography?

Published 01/16/2006 in Crain's New York Business
Glam rocker Jon Bon Jovi is ready to tell all--at rock-star prices. His agent, David Vigliano, is setting up meetings with publishers who are interested in a memoir by the musician and aren't put off by the sticker price. The suggested tab: $2 million for world rights, or $1.25 million to $1.5...

Jon has always said he would never do this so it sounds unlikely. But it's interesting that this is in a business newspaper and not from a gossip magazine!

yeay i agree. i doubt it is true. jon keeps his life very private. probably not true and just a rumour. plus knowing how much jon loves $ i bet it would take a lot more $ to get him to "tell all"

Whether it's true or false, it won't be a TELL ALL. It will be a TELL ALL THAT HE WANTS TO TELL.

Also, Jon did mention that he was going to try to write a biography to go with the box set on a Canadian TV interview, but I don't think he could squeeze it into his schedule at the time (CDs, touring, movies, babies, football). Chances are, he began work on it a few years ago.

That's an ass load of money where I come from and I'd take it...
Then again, I'm not Jon Bon Jovi now am I?

Becky's right...I'm betting that if it's true, Jon would most likely be pretty selective with what he told.

What's the point of writing an autobiography if you keep things to yourself? It's not complete, and it's almost a lie. I don't want to read about the dirty laundry or anything, but if they won't tell all then don't tell anything.

If you're writing about your own life wouldn't there be things that you might consider significant that others wouldn't or the other way around? You couldn't really tell all anyway. Either there's too much to tell, or you're like me and you can't remember. LOL

But there's a difference between selecting and forgetting and actually keeping things hidden because you don't want to be exposed. An autobiography of half-truths is pointless and a rip-off :p

I agree - I actually prefer a well researched biography to an autobiography. Either the person telling their own story is so involved with themselves that they tell you details that you don't care about, or they try to cover stuff up and don't tell you enough.

Actually, that is a good point but still...it doesn't mean there aren't certian things he wouldnt want to tell.

Isn't his Agent/Manager Paul Korzillius and not the name mentioned above?

Beside that, the term Glam Rocker also makes it quite unlikey to me that these news are true and real. I heard several terms for BJ but no one until now put them in the category Glam Rock, like Sweet for example were.
