ambitions?
since everyones probably already failed their new years resolutions miserably (except those intelligent ones who don't bother making them :-) ) i was just wondering what aims and ambitions you guys have in general.....
could be anything really mundane and normal or could be pretty out there. It's kinda sad that I've achieved everythign I ever really set out to do in music except record an album which I'll imagine I'll get round to sooner or later so for the past year or two I've not really had a proper ambition. not a good thing IMO. you should always be striving to achieve something. so my ambition for the year is to pick up at least one trophy for boxing. my overall ambition is to win at least the western amatuer division and at best win the scottish though I have absolutely no desire to go pro. may take me a good few years but i think I'm capable of both. i've got till i'm 34. what are your ambitions and aims for the future? we want tangible stuff here not the usual crap like happiness and health. DISCLAIMER: if anyone writes the usual crap like happiness and health etc... I will be forced to hunt them down and box them and take any trophy's in their house thus completing the 1st of my ambitions in the process. |
People with their goals well defined often tend to succeed better then the ones with out goals.
That's way I don't have any! Well just one, I need a new Suit.. so I'm going to get me one. |
On a course I done a few years ago one of the lecturers asked who had a plan with what they wanted to do.
some people put ther ehands up then she asked if they'd really thought it out some hands went down then she asked whod actually wrote the plan down and went over it now and again to remember how to implement it. two people still had their hands up and she said.... i ask this every year and by the end of the course the ones who have plans written down or hung up on their wall or just soemwhere tangible that they can see it always end up top of the class. |
My biggest ambition is to write a book and have it published, repeating the process several times.
Beyond that, I'd like to make a ridiculously large amount of money. Maybe go into local or state politics. Form a militia with any willing neighbors. Ambitions like "get through college" and "find a new job" don't count for this question I think. Adrian |

not unless you want me to come and box you and steal your trophies it doesn't. |
I want to play at a sold out arena.
I'll be in music until that ambition is done, That means I want to open for somebody big. God how I wish Bon Jovi would do a show in Puerto Rico this tour. |

JBJ's useless trivia: the 1st gig i ever went to was BJ at ibrox stadium in the summer of 96. they were supported by skunk anansie, G.U.N. (a fairly succesful glaswegian band) and the gyres (a pathetically unsucessful glaswegian band) the lead guitarist of gun now runs an indian restauraunt in the west end of glasgow called creme de la creme and does guitar lessons..... |
ambition? to shake that fog in my head.
I just *might* be starting a new job pretty soon and I guess to excel in it would be my ambition? |

I said arena, I'm dreaming like 15,000 people all packed into an arena, or just now thinking about it, a theater would be a dream come true aswell. The largest venue I played was one that held about 600 people supporting a fairly sucsesfull pop/punk band from Argentina, and it was about half full. But to answer your q? No, while we do have Coliseums and Stadiums they are of much lesser scale that the ones in England and the U.S. for example. The Rolling Stones are playing at the new Coliseum, which I guess is where BJ would play if they make it here again. It Holds about 18-19,000 people, we have also othe coliseums that hold somewhere between 10,000-11,000 people. So I guess that's about the largest we have working. Back in 1987 and 1989 when Bon Jovi made their trecks through here, they played at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium which I guess had more capacity but it was so ****ed up that they are no longer holding any shows there. |
