Gold Standing - Let's Hopefully close the debate
 

As per many of you i'm still confused about gold standing. I assume that they simply send a wristband with your ticket otherwise why pay £10 more.

Incidentally - when everyone else booked gold standing... did it happen as follows...

price level 1 gold standing
unreserved standing

and then again on confirmation page unreserved standing (with no mention of 'gold' despite prices at £37.50 and not 27.50)???

I'm hoping there's not a problem and that they will still send me gold standing tickets, but just want to know if anyone else felt the same when booking?

Can't wait though for Manchester and Wolverhampton (wish could have been arena tour though!).

Ps. please noone mention the extras ticketmaster charged - i need to conveniently forget how i spent about £15 more per ticket than if i booked on saturday.

Gold Standing is definently the front section - nearest the stage. I didnt like paying the extra money for booking earlier either - although I just kept telling myself that I wouldnt have got gold tickets otherwise!

thats what pritty much happened to me.
i thought something went wrong because on confirmation it didnt say gold standing etc but still charged me £10 more.and said unreserved standing.

i reckon £10 extra isnt to bad to be able to get ur wristband b4 u go,it saves rushing about looking for where to get them(if that what is gonna happen,fingers crossed)
but then again it could be argued as to why we spend all that money on fanclub membership,isnt it to get the perks?hummm,so why should we pay extra?just a little thought running thru my head!lol

i don't mind the extra to save a lot of hassle... i was just referring specifically to the purchasing gold standing and then on confirmation it saying unreserved standing/seating...

... hopefully they'll send the tickets out early and not 1 week before show (as i suspect they will) and we can all check that we are ok.

To answer someones question on another topic:

Picaddily train station is nowhere near old trafford. if you're travelling into manchester from outside you need to get off at picaddily (or victoria if you're coming from the north), then get either a bus or tram (or taxi/car whatever suits you best) to old trafford which is virtually in salford (where the lowry is and imperial war museum...)... it is about 10 mins drive from city centre if that helps also.

Well, on my page it just said "SECTION,..." and didn't even say unreserved standing. However, i phoned the customer service line and quoted my confirmation number and the lady assured me the tickets were the gold ones...so hopefully i'm sorted! if not, then i've got my fanclub membership so even if it is unreserved i'll still get a wristband. However, if it isn't gold then why'd they charge extra!?! lol, not only am i arguing with myself, but i'm getting paranoid again!

maybe it means you pay £10 more to stand in front of the person who paid £10 less lol !

... although joking aside for some people that will in fact be true... at least it means i don't have to queue from 8am... i'm not bothered about being in front of the barrier because in a way the way the stage is setup it CAN be a little less of an experience... you get a good view of the stage and the cameras etc...

at least back a few rows you get more of the atmosphere...

Have to agree with you! I got gold tickets and i aint too fussed where ill be as long as im there and get a good view! I am in the FC though so whatever happens ill be there in the pit :D

all i got was,
SECTION GOLD, ROW GA0, SEATS 661 TO 664

is standing all gone?
