Bon Jovi's plane skids off runway in Hamilton

HAMILTON (CP) - New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi discovered the true meaning of slippery when wet early Saturday when their private plane skidded off the runway at Hamilton International Airport.

At about 1:30 a.m., a private plane carrying members of Bon Jovi and their touring staff overshot the runway after landing in severe weather conditions in Hamilton, said a spokeswoman for the band.

The Boeing 707 carried 14 passengers plus flight crew and was arriving from Buffalo, NY, where the band played show on Friday night.

The band, staff, and flight crew deplaned with no reports of injuries. Saturday, Monday and Tuesday's shows at Toronto's Air Canada Center will proceed as planned.

Wow. I cant believe that, i thought it was a joke when i woke up and my parents told me the Runway was "Slippery When Wet"...

Thank God everyone is safe!

I'm relieved everybody is OK.
They do so much flying that I guess your bound to have incidents like these.
Being someone whose scared of flying I don't know they will get on their next flight without freaking out!

This may be an odd question, but doesn't Hamilton have a curfew regarding takeoff and landings at the airport? I'm pretty sure that at Pearson, planes can't land or take-off between 1am and 6am.

Perhaps they make allowances for rock bands!

Dude, how scarry. I guess this is why I aint a musician, cause it'd be pretty hard to get me back on the plane after that. I've only flown once in my entire life and it was hell when the plane went up. I almost squeezed the life out my poor mama's hand.
Anyways, Great that everybody's ok.

That airport is so so so so tiny.

wow. Hamilton. HAMILTON.
