Why do they keep doing cover songs on the shows!!??
They have a very large and extense variety of songs of their own to play, why keep doing covers?? They always play one or two cover songs on their show!
It makes me sad when I look at the HAND tour set and there's absolutely not a single song from These Days for instance, not to mention the big hits that seems to be forgotten by the band :( Has the band ever mentioned on an interview or something why they like that much to make covers?? |
UMM...... because they want to??!!!
|
The band probably likes it... I don't mind as long as there are not too many of them.
|
I don't think they've mentioned why, but for pretty much every tour they do a couple covers, so why not for this one?
|
For this tour Tom Petty's "don't back down" is being used as the lead in to HAND, it kind of sets up the "attitude" in HAND.
Treat her right is the cover replacing "shout" on this tour, although Jon has been using the opening of shout as a tease right before Bad rx. |

It's bull. The band has plenty of great material they could be playing. Jon could also let world class guitarist Richie Sambora have a couple of minutes for a killer solo, and same for Tico Torres to work around the skins. Just my 2 cents |
Jon said that they play cover songs to entertain the audience with some of their favourite songs...so they've fun to do it!
Personally i really enjoy that covers on a live set, they turn on the crowd! And thanks to that i've discoverd a lot of wonderful songs! |
Because of These Days songs: Comer over to Europe and you'll hear some. They don't or at least rarely play TD-songs in the USA because the album flopped there. Here in Europe they usually play at least one or two songs from the album.

If they do this intentionally, I think that this isn't fair! I'm sure that a lot of people off-Europe would like to hear some TD songs! What the american fans have to say about it? Did These Days really flop there?? I always thought the contrary but anyway, I could be wrong... |
