LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOl realised after I posted this was old news (a couple of years ago)

WOW! Nothing on Bonjovi.com though (unless I missed it)

THE REVOLUTION WILL BE TELEVISED!
A Bon Jovi club gig in London is to broadcast nationwide...

A plan pioneered in the US where bands broadcast gigs in cinemas is to come to the UK.

As previously reported, the scheme started out in the US in June, when Korn's gig at the New York Hammerstein Ballroom was broadcast to fans in almost 40 cinemas nationwide.

Now, the idea is coming to the UK with the announcement that Bon Jovi's first UK club gig in ten years at the London Shepherds Bush Empire (September 18) will be transmitted live via satellite to eleven UCI cinemas across the UK.

This is the first time ever in Europe that a live concert has been broadcast across a cinema network.

The Shepherds Bush concert, will be beamed simultaneously to screening parties at cinemas in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Hull, Preston, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Derby, Milton Keynes and Cardiff.

Tickets for the private screening will be free and available only via unique competitions on local radio and press.

It is likely that in the future the idea could be used to screen other concerts.

As long as you don't use that excuse after a car accident to the police officer at your window, sure, heh.

Hmm - point taken. Actually I never drink and drive - not since I've been 17 anyway. But I do like a glass (or two) with dinner and maybe one after dinner :) Another excuse I use is, I'm Italian so it's ok if I drink wine LOL.
