Watching England's Opening WC Game?
On seetickets.com, it has the gates opening at 4pm for the Saturday Wembley show. The England v Paraguay game begins at 3pm German time, so 2pm London time. So I suppose there isn't enough time to watch the game at a pub somewhere and get in line before the gates open, I wouldn't think. Well, it would be tight, anyway.
What are other people going to do in what has become something of a dilemma?? I'd really like to see the game, Australians have developed something of a fascination with England's national sporting teams over the years, one of the main reasons of late would be that they are actually starting to win something! With football though, due to our own national team's inability to qualify for the WC for the 32 years pervious to this one, England has probably been a team that football fans in Australia have followed more so than others due to the EPL being given the most coverage of football competitions from around the world. Hence the interest that I show now. :) I guess for those going to both shows, watch the game first night and then line up earlier the 2nd? Just a thought, but right now, I am really unsure what to do! |
I've got GA tickets for the Saturday show and GC tickets for the Sunday show so I'm going to watch the football in a pub somewhere between Harrow Premier inn (where we're staying, anyone else?) and Wembley then go into the concert and watch my fave band rock from the nearest to the front I can get. then Sunday (hangover not too bad hopefully!) I'm gonna get down there early and get in with my GC tickets and enjoy the show!!!
Of course the best solution would be for them to let us in early and watch the match on a big screen inside Wembley but I can't see that happening. you never know. Either way it promises to be one of the best weekend of my life and I'm counting the days already! |
Well having thought about it, if im def going to the Sunday show im prob gonna watch the match in a pub somewhere nearby and go in when its finished. Its a hard one, I def wanna make the most of my gold circle ticket, but then I think having that and fan club im not gonna get a bad view anyway.
To me seeing BJ at Wembley its all about just being there, I dont wanna be stressing out going at the crack of dawn worried about not getting on the first 3 rows. I just want to enjoy the day, watching England (win hopefully!) then BJ I couldnt ask for much more!!! |
I'm not that bothered about the football, but I'm planning to buy a cheap radio of some kind and listen to the game while waiting in the queue ... and that way can listen to music around it as well
