can u use fanclub card to get into gold standing instead?!
there are no gold standing tickets left 4 hyde park so should i just buy the 'normal' priced ticket and see if i can get a wristband with my card like on the own tour?!
thanks to anyone who can help! |
No, I don't think you can use your Fanclub card. I think it's best to buy the other admission tickets and then get to HP early in the morning a get a good place as close to the front as you can.

You should be able to use your fanclub membership. Just buy GA standing tickets and then queue up(very early!!) at the location that they give you on Backstage nearer the time. There are only a limited amount. This is how it worked last time and everyones seems to think it will be the same this time....don't know how many thought because of the "gold tickets" that let you into the pit.
Keep checking on Backstage for information. :) |
There are no FC wristbands to any UK shows. You just have to buy a normal GA ticket now to the show you want to go to.

According to Ticketmaster, they haven't been approached about fan club arrangements yet...but then again we all know that the European fan club benefits are usually arranged just a few weeks prior to the tour anyway. And according to Backstage, there WILL be fan club wristbands distributed at the European shows, so I take that to include the UK shows as well. Especially since the wristband issue is mentioned in connection with the Gold Standing/Circle tickets. What IS still unclear, though, is whether or not BSWJBJ members will have the exact same benefits they had in 2001 when they were allowed to enter the venues some 15 minutes before the general public. My guess is that the reason Backstage encouraged fan club members to buy Gold tickets (where available) was precisely that they're trying to protect us and make it easier for themselves and BJM to justify and explain the promoters that fan club members ALL belong in the pit and that they should also be allowed to enter the venues before the general public (which in this case includes also non-fan club member Gold ticket holders). So even though Backstage hasn't told us yet exactly what kind of benefits we will be getting, please don't go around claiming that there won't be any fan club benefits at the UK shows next year. :? |
I have been talking to various people and its not guaranteed that FC members will have priority in UK, let alone anything at all.

Like I said, until Backstage will tell us whether or not we'll get anything and if so, what exactly it will be, there's no point claiming that we wouldn't be getting any benefits. It's not the ticket agencies that decide that kind of stuff, it's BJM and the fan club together with the promoters. And if BJM orders that the promoters must give the fan club members such and such benefits, it's the promoter's duty to make it happen. BJM are the customer there, not the other way round... So they're the ones who lay down the rules. |
I haven't heard anywhere that there WON'T be any fanclub wristbands....the only thing I've heard is that there will be a limited amount (which they say every tour) I think that with this gold ticket thing everyone is a little bit confused as to the fanclub wristbands...and if they don't do any FC wristbands then I think it is totally wrong and they will get alot of people not joining for next year as what would be the point when you can get good tickets without paying the extra money. Me, for one, and I'm not ashamed to say it, only joined for the wristbands anyway!!
Let's face it....everything at the moment is just speculation..nothing has been confirmed. Let's wait and see what they say on Backstage. :D |

LMAO Anu :) You really don't like it when people know stuff you don't, don't ya! |
I'm very sure that there will be FC-arrangements. I don't believe that Mrs. B. will take the risk that hundreds of members don't renew their membership when she quits the FC-benefit at concerts.
Unfortunately nobody answered my question on Backstage when I asked how the Fanclub is affected with the gold tickets, meaning if there are less wristbands than in earlier years for FC-members or something since a lot of space in the Pit is occupied by Gold Tickets owners. I could imagine that it is affected somehow but I don't believe that there aren't any arrangements at all. yours Christine |
