Is it OK for a Guy to "Raise Your Hands"

I've only been a Bon Jovi fan since Crush and only seen 2 live shows but at each of them I've had the same question ... is it ok for a guy to "Raise your Hands" durring the shows? Each time that song was played I sort of looked around and did sort of a half up-half down thing and noticed most of the other guys in attendance doing much the same thing. So when the summer stadium shows come around do I let loose and raise them or leave it to the girls?

Oh crap - just enjoy yourself and quit worrying about it. My husband is a guy - and a much older guy at that - and he certainly participates in the concert. My 25 year old son who is a huge Bon Jovi fan also participates, whether it be hand raising or singing along - or dancing in the aisles for that matter. At least here in New Jersey it doesn't seem to be a female only thing. Have you ever seen a Springsteen show? There are guys all over the place "raising their hands".

If the music moves you or sucks you in, enjoy it. :)

It's only okay if you've put on your deodorant.

In all the shows I have been to I have never noticed A LOT of guys NOT getting into it. Yes, of course there are some guys not into it but the majority of any audience I have seen has fallen under the spell of JBJ, both girls AND guys. It is very tough to stand still at a Jovi show imo. My brother is 23 and has been to every single BJ show with me. He is a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan and let me tell you he sang along every word to every song and definitely was "raising his hands" the entire night. Don't worry about what people around you are doing or even what they may think of you. They are complete strangers... why care about their opinion? Do what you want to do! If you want to "Raise Your Hands" I say go for it! You are at a rock concert after all, not the symphony!:p

I'd say that a Bon Jovi show is one of the worst places to go if you're not into raising your hands. On a basic set list, I'd say at least 90% of the songs are hand raising songs, shame on you if you don't.

I would definitely raise your hands. You're not gonna get judged lol.
