Ticketmaster Auctions
I see they are doing the Ticketmaster auctions again. However, this time there's a twist. There's pit and premium tickets. Am I right that pit are closer to the stage than premium. And does that mean people are bidding $500 for premium tickets in Chicago and Boston and they will be BEHIND the pit? Or am I confused? ;)

The way I understood it was the GA tickets inside the ring stage are the "pit" seats, and the premium are the first few floor sections behind the ring.

And GA is STANDING no seats. And yes, the GA Pit is going to be in front of the center section seats. But, there are some side sections where the seats will be right at the ellipse ramp, at least, from looking at the seating charts.
At least the pit auction tickets will be impossible for scalpers to get as they are "will call" only. deb |
I am new to this board and have been lurking for a few months. I figure any info I get here is pretty reliable from what I've read.
I've never purchased auction tickets and need to know how they determine the winner if several people bid the same amount for tickets. Is it based on time of bid? I tried to get tickets for Chicago online Saturday morning but by the time I got through they were all in the 300s. So, I'd rather pay a little more to get decent seats. Any help would be great. Thanks |
Yes. The earlier bid takes preference. This is clearly visable on the auctions if you look on the right hand side of the page.
Hope this helps. :) |

So, far Mike the prices for the GA tickets are at $150, which is only $3 more than you'd pay if you bought them online, including fees. Now, will that be the final price come next week when a lot of them end, who knows, but my guess is no, because people get to stupid and bid the prices up. |

I don't see how the morals behind this way of selling tickets is any better than the scalpers. They are keeping tickets back themselves & selling them for ridiculous amounts - the only difference the scalpers do is they have to buy them first. |
