Have you actually heard the song? It isn't Bohemian Rhapsody or anything like that.

Isn't it about a bed full with roses and another one full of nails and Jon has a hard time deciding on which one to sleep. That's how I understood this song.

Its basically about Jon's career taking him away from his wife

i agree, i never saw the mistress jon talks about in the song to be another woman, i always thought he was talking about life on the road. i think bed of roses and wild is the wind are talking about the same thing
