Nijmegen - Holland: Just Boring

We went queing up at the Backstage area at 3:45 am. We got on the front row.

After all the show wasn't worth being queued up for. The beginning of the show was pretty good, especially Welcome To Wherever You Are was a nice treat. I kinda felt bored after Have A Nice Day. I am trying to like Who Says You Can't Go Home but I felt dragged of it. It's My Life was played way too slow. After It's My Life the worst part of the show came, the This Left Feels Right versions of Bed Of Roses and I'll Be There For You. I was convinced they wouldn't try these songs in Europe but they did. I was so pissed off that they played these versions that I kinda lost interest in the rest of the show, I got bored and I wanted to go home. Although Bad Medicine was nice with a little bit of Gloria put into it. Raise Your Hands was ok but it's always is.

The encore was pretty predictable and way too long for my opinion. The show was lacking some kind of energy. We went home after the show was over and I was pretty pissed off by the lame setlist and the fcuking This Left Feels Right songs.

If I would rate this show it wouldn't be more than a 4 out of 10. It was my worst Bon Jovi show ever!

I'm with you Thierry!! I did enjoy it, but it certainly wasn't the best Bon Jovi show I've seen. I was a bit disappointed that there were no treats, not that I expected Dry County again, but just something special.

Bed of Roses was horrendous!!!! They really should not play it that way - a real downer.

So, would you consider this an auto pilot gig or did the set list just deter you from enjoying the show? How did Jon sound and how was the crowd?

Jon sounded great, the sound wasn't too good to start off, but he sounded good. From where I stood they looked like they were having a good time, so I don't think it was autopilot - it was just a quite boring setlist, but in saying that I think because so far the setlists have been so good that your expectations are that bit high - the friend I was with, it was his first Bon Jovi show, he thought it was great and one of his best concerts... so maybe for first timers it was fine.
The crowd seemed okay, I was quite far back...

Okay, yea, that's what I wanted to know if the show would be crap to just us diehards who want some more of the rare stuff but for those casual fans they'd think it was great. And yep, too true, with the way they started off the European leg with Dry County, the expectations are going to be really high. I am quite surprised at the TLFR stuff in there. I thought it was fine for arenas but I can see it being a buzz kill for a big stadium crowd.

oh god i hope they dont keep this up - cant stand TLFR songs - especially live!!

Alex' husband told me there were only 3 songs in the encore and Sat. Night was an audible. They played that audible en extended the encore to 7 songs. From that perpective, the band did something extra. But then again, no special songs. It bothers me a bit, since Jon seemed in good spirit.
