Innsbruck - words before Shout?
Hi!
For those people who have been to the concert in Innsbruck, can anyone remember what Jon said at the intro of Shout? It was something like no wind, no snow, can .... I'm a man on a mission .... .... please, please .... JERSEY |
i've recorded the show, i'll check it out for ya later today
|
How was that concert, was it big venue? Was it sold out and how much audience there were?
|
it was COLD in innsbruck.
there were only 27000 people. Was a very small venue. the show was good but short. because they were so cold as well. they had like little radiators on stage to warm their hands between songs. |
Well, how should I say so that you won't get this wrong ... The concert was absolutely shit - but the show was great! The Premium-Area didn't work, the bridge where Jon should have run over didn't work, the people where absultely stupid (don't hit me for this, but there where some of them who nearly drove me mad) and the audience was not so great like in Linz (the other concert in Austria). And the weather was bad too.
But BJ and Nickelback did the best they could do. The show was really short but I can understand that. It was so funny because the wear bonnets and Jon's nose was so red. And I don't think there where 27.000 people, maybe 15.000. JERSEY |
the newspapers sayd 27.000
all 3 of them |
But was it sold out? So i quess that it was outdoor venue... How long was it, like under 2 hours? And do you got any ideas why Bon Jovi played there at the first place?... I think there's better venues to play than Olympia World, like Ernst Happel Stadion, Bergisel Stadion, Stadion Salzburg, Tivoli Neu Stadion or another show in Linz?!!!

2 hours 15 mins.
BJ really did the best they could... but the encore was just standard, nothing special, but i guess if they played dry county or these days people would have been frosted, they needed to keep them moving, and casual fans are not really into those kind of rare songs... too bad. i agree, the crowd was not as great as in linz, but linz was a ****in rock show day, it was hot all day, sun was shining and everyone was in a great mood - it snowed in innsbruck, and many peoply were standing in the rain from like the morning hours on, it doesnt really help you to be enthuisastic about the show when you're cold and wet - i mean, i personally was totally into it, i dont care about ****in weather when i see BJ live, but the major audience was pissed off, before the show even started, enough said. but i to disagree with the above mentions of attendance: i'm pretty sure the place was full, and i'm sure the 27.000 people number is correct, the playce was full! there where 32.000 in linz, but linz had seating areas, too - innsbruck was standing-only as it was an open air gig and no stadium. |
I think most people where pissed off because the staff don't let people with premium tickets in the area in front of stage. That's the reason! I was also totaly pissed off!
And I can't still believe that here were 27.000 people. As you said there were no seating areas. By the way the newspapers were all lying!!! I bought them the next day and thought: Have I've been to this concert? And what ever went wrong they blamed it on the bad weather. Well, I was there, and I can defenitely say that it was NOT the weather. Look at the reviews - it says everything! JERSEY |
