this sums up BON JOVI live in my opinion

I took my 9yr old to his first GIG and his first BJ gig in manchester, and even today after a week long trip to disneyland paris, he is still going on about the gig. hes keeps asking how come the whole stadium stops and listens when jon says. and pointing out that the WHOLE crowd were waving thier arms to the music etc etc. this sums it all up to me, that the JERSEY BOYS are the best LIVE act on the planet. and i know im biased but i have to say even sat at the back of the stadium the really was "somthing in the air, theres magic in the night!"

Hitler was a good performer. 'S how he got them all behind them - charisma and such. So that doesn't make any sense.

I'm glad your son enjoyed it - I took my seven year old daughter (at the time) to see Page and Plant (ex Led Zeppelin) in 1997. She still talks about it to this day and she's 17 now. And yes - as I've said many times here - I still go to these gigs all these years later because usually there is "magic in the night". The same reason I still go to see Bruce and I've been a fan of his since the seventies. He manages to suck me in every time. That's why live shows are so enjoyable.

What an assinine comparison. Have some common decency and don't make a joke of something so tragic.
It wasn't intended to make fun of any of the victims of WW2, I know better than to do that as a German on an international message board, seeing "our" reputation is basically screwed anyway. It was just because his argument was that the people all were amazed. Also probably because of my lack of sleep. Sorry. Edited it.

You couldn't be more right, absolutely the greatest live band! I have seen them once(year 2000 on Crush tour in Helsinki, Finland). Sold out show but somehow I can't remember a thing of that concert, maybe that wasn't their best night or not.... Still the greatest band in whole world. Nice to know your son liked. That's the beauty; from sister beginning to new found fan!

I've been to a lot of gigs in my 17 years *and I mean A LOT. My first was Motorhead at the age of 5* and Bon Jovi is one of the best. Mainly because they get the fans involved and get them to sing a verse or a chorus or both. I've seen a lot of bands that don't and it just ruins it a little. Cher is pretty good, too. As is Meat Loaf. All have great stage presence and that's what counts. Music doesn't really matter so much if they can make a bad studio recorded song sound great live.
