Greatest Bon Jovi lyrics of all time?
Which song has the gratest lyricks...? It's hard to say one but I think they'll be found from These Days-album and the song would be Lie To Me.... In my point of view those lyrics are genious and beatifull. Story is great and words that have been chosen are brilliant and perfect... It gives me some nice wibes.

For band songs, I'd have to go for Something To Believe In and Dry County.

These Days, closely followed by Something to Believe In.

There are MANY! I could be here all day. But a couple of my favorites include:
Bed of Roses Well I'm so far away each step that I takes on my way home/Kings ransom in dimes I'd give each night to see through this pay phone/Still I run out of time for it's hard to get through til the bird on the wire/flies me back to you i'll just close my eyes/ And whisper baby blind love is true... Instead of just saying I miss ya baby I wish you were here JBJ desribes it like that and creates this materpiece. Some of the best lyrics ever in Bed of Roses!! The One that Got Away Well I told you a joke and you laughed/When you asked me to dance/You said there's no band there's no radio/I got up real slow/Started singng real low/When I was melting in your arms I had to let go All I can say is Oh God can you imagine if that song was about you?? One thing about many Bon Jovi songs is they express feelings in a really beautiful, deep, poetic manner. Whether that emotion is love, loss, regret, belief I have always been in awe of many of their lyrics. They are the masters when it comes to lyrics. |

Right now the best that spring to mind are the ones to These Days:
Jimmy shoes busted both his legs, trying to learn to fly From a second story window, he just jumped and closed his eyes His mamma said he was crazy - he said mamma "I've got to try" Don't you know that all my heroes died And I guess I'd rather die than fade away But what I think is, when Bon Jovi write good lyrics (and they've written a few apart from These Days) they write the best. And when they don't... well then, you know. |
